I was a sone polisher on granite, marble, onyx, glass, etc.
Made stuff for some of the richest people in Massachusetts before an accident cost me my career and a normal life.
Started out in a quarry and moved to cutting and shaping stone before emigrating to America to marry my fiancé, started polishing stone within one week of getting my greencard and kept going till two weeks after my accident destroyed my spine, discs and bones.
I've worked with stone for 20 plus years, the heavy stuff, from throwing stone into the back of a truck that weighed more then 100 lbs to using a pin bar to move stones weighing upto 5 tonnes in a quarry, making stone fireplaces that will outlive me by hundreds of years to a 15 person shower for a private customer in marthas vineyard.
I write bumper stickers but it pays for a good lunch, nothing massive but I have seen my work from new Hampshire to south Carolina in shops and on cars...that is so cool!...
