What does everyone do for a living?

Do for a living?

I have worked in several machine shops, twisted bolts as a mechanic (automotive), drove bob-tail trucks delivering gasoline, diesel, kerosene, butane, and propane; also bread and cake. I have worked in grocery stores checking, bagging, stocking, and butchering. I have worked as a bookkeeper, auditor for convenience stores, and then started working on the gasoline equipment at the stores and stations. The gasoline equipment work started in the mid 1970s and continued until 2004. In 2004, I retired; and now, for a living: I wait each month for Social Security check!!!! As soon as the snow and cold weather abates, I'm going to do some serious detecting.

I have taught elementary school for 27 years. I am currently teaching
3rd grade math. I absolutely love it!

I was injured in 2003 in Iraq. I am now medically retired from the Army.
Thank you for your service.

I worked for a large warehouse for almost 13 years, until I ended up having to have spinal surgery. After that I went to work at a correctional facility for a very short time. I am now working at a local grocery store (I worked there while in high school). I love my job. It's relatively stress free and I've always enjoyed working in the grocery business. I have also been a volunteer firefighter for almost 12 years.

I have worked as a geotechnical engineer for the past 9 years or so. I investigate and test the soil/rock at sites, design foundations, and then inspect the construction. Worked on some amazing projects and have gotten to travel to some interesting places around the world, so I can't complain. Also, still get to feel like a kid playing in a sandbox! :digginahole:

I'm a cardiovascular sonographer in a large internal medicine group. I use ultrasound to image hearts and blood vessels. I'm also working in a program to get a certificate in Personal Training.

I Work as an Assistant Director on Movies. I hail from Malta and just got to know (thanks to this site) thats its illegal here to use one .... I will look into it further and post back . Pity, as was really keen to get one, we have some interesting ancient spots . Does anyone know if there are underwater MDs on the market ?

I run sterilization for my family's dental office. I have been there (besides summer breaks) five years now this week.

We do knives. High quality production knives and customs.
We live 45miles from Bark River Knives.
We are in contact with them daily.
We get 1 of a kind products from them.
zebra bone handles, buffalo horn, giraffe horn, corn cob ... the list goes on..

There's a retired local guy who forges his own, gets the handle material on his land or family/friends land and he makes a sheath for each knife.
Hooking up with a pretty well known guy who lives in the lower midwest for customs.
Local leatherworking shop that handmakes sheaths.

We want to concentrate on local/semi-local to keep it more personal and easier for us to deal directly with the craftspeople.
Sorry for the long post...not meant to sound like an advert...
Our website is finally coming online in the next couple of days. A bit excited.

Retired after 20 years drafting/surveying, another 10 as a cop, and the last few as a truck driver. Well, not exactly completely retired, I still keep our home up and help my husband in his business when he wants me to...

Twice retired. First time from 21 years in the US Army as a Senior Armor Sergeant and the second time from 19 years with Washington State Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer/Sergeant. Now MDing, fishing, camping and travelling are my full time jobs.

After 13 years in construction, doing everything from flooring to commercial pool building, I finished my teaching degree. I now teach 4th grade in a rural Missouri district. I hear that a small civil war border battle was fought just a mile or two from the school.
