Hi, I'm also a knife nut.... 3rd one from the left was eyeballed in a parking lot, a gerber appelgate fairbairn, pretty pricey. Others were bought, and sit in a cigar box on the bedroom dresser...... some from flea markets, some from a friend who's a knife dealer. I have plenty of others, one old buck lockback (ranger?) and fixed blade, both get beat on while camping, hunting, fishing and take the abuse well. I'm tough on knives, so cheap ones don't make it a day. The knife-dealer friend sometimes looks like he's gonna burst into tears when he asks about a knife he sold me a few weeks before, and when I show it to him, it looks like it was run over a few times, lol.
I'm like a test pilot, I had a pricey and pretty Spyderco destroyed in no time flat. I don't buy them anymore...........
Couple of multi-tools, too- they come in handy cause they keep ya from doing things with a knife that a person should be doing with tools - screw driving, prying, and such. Also have a couple Case commemeratives, but they never get outta their tins. Bunch more floating around the house.
I have knife issues, I guess.
The tiny damascus knife I bought about a week ago, from a custom maker...... Cost a hefty chunk of change, but it's my first and last custom knife, I figured after wanting one for 25+ years, what the heck. Copy of the design from the show "Deadwood".
Still looking to find my first knife MDing. I bet along lake shores would be good.......... hmmmmmmmmm.
Great knives all of you have posted! And hats off to those who make em' themselves
something I still want to try myself, maybe when the ground is frozen would be a good time to try my hand at it..
