What does everyone do for a living?

well.....remember the fella who ran for president afew yrs ago out of texas?

I work for that fella out of Texas that ran for president, Ross Perot.
His main office is out of Plano, TX, but most of his employees are virtual ( work from hm ) I am a software engineer for Pharmaceutical Software.

Ross Perot is a great guy, he acts like a good ol'boy, he talks to you very polite, he will even sit down and have lunch with you and talk about his hobbies, you should see the museum he has at his office. The whole 1st floor of his office building is artifacts from all over the world and his life.
He has a huge civil war collection as well. I gave him a riker case of bullets and buttons one time, he really enjoyed it and thanked me. He placed it in is collection.

Wished he'd run again for president !

I'm a network engineer with verzon.....Routers.....switches.....and firewalls, oh my! (said in my best Judy Garland voice), lol

I have been a Massage Therapist for 8 years. I love what I do. I had my own office until a highend resort asked if I would come work for them. It is a great place to work and now I don't have all that overhead to worry about.

Before that I was a stay at home mum and homeschooled my kids.

I make industrial gases hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen , argon, xenon

hey cool! and I re-certify the cylinders those gases go in....as I type this I am testing 200 size O2 cylinders:lol:

That's really neat Trina! Where in Europe do you usually go? Denmark, or ... ?

Always Paris for the market. Then there is usually a factory tour when that's over. Usually Italy but last April it was Porto, Portugal. Very nice place. We were on the beach too but that was back when my mind wasn't filled with MD'ing 24 hours a day!

Of course! I should have guessed Paris. Italy is probably Milano right? ;)

Porto is lovely, specially if you like port wine. :D
They have several wineries right next to the Douro river. I am partial to Taylor's, Ferreira and Sandeman.

Yes you're right. After the Paris market, then it's the fair in Milan. Some of the factories are in Forli, Italy.
Porto was very nice, not alot of time to sightsee, however we did get to an excellent little restaurant. It was called Matosinhos....or it was in Matosinhos.
Biggest crabs I've ever seen!

Data Processing/Info Systems/Info Technology

I'm a twice retired IT director. Took my first early retirement as IT Director from a large electric utility in the south and went to work as IT Chief for a State Forestry, Fish & Game Dept. Took early retirement from them in 2003 and been a slacker ever since. Mostly just fishing, playing the stock market, substitute teaching at the local Middle/High School and (since Christmas) metal detecting.

A War of 1812 reenactor? I've seen a lot of Civil War reenactments, but never the War of 1812. How'd that come about?

I volunteer teaching school kids at the George Rogers Clark (famous Rev War officer and hero) homesite in Clarksville, Indiana. GRC's Brother, William Clark, was the "Clark" of the Lewis and Clark Expedition and we hold a reenactment at the homesite twice a year. That is early 1800s (1803 and 1806). From there almost everything clothing and weapon wise is the same as that for War of 1812. There are two really big events here in Indiana, including the biggest in this part of the world, the Battle of Mississinewa in Marion, Indiana. It is HUGE and at one time had over 10,000 reenactors ! It's a really fun and interesting hobby. I will be posting some pictures in my gallery today of some of my reenacting ventures. Thanks for asking! Take care and HH!
