Hello all! Whether this will put an end to all this discussion or not, I really do not know! But I will go ahead and mention this:
Calabash started bashing the Legend long before he got one – his first comment was a 635 USD device CANNOT compete with devices that costs more!
Here we are today watching him and his friend comparing a 635 USD machine to 1000+ USD machines and all we got is a few scenarios and nothing else to justify the price difference.
How about all the issues D2 owners talk about on forums/social media etc?
I put an open invite to anybody to come and join us on a live dig at one of the events to prove to the whole world that x2 costing machine will perform x2 better under the same conditions and field and I will personally pay for that device.
Here is a fact - our 635 USD machine competes very well with all SMF detectors out there and even beats them under certain scenarios (you can easily find them on social media as well).
We understand that it is hard to accept this especially for people who have paid 1600 USD but fact is a fact.
Here is another fact – all this effort of trying to convince people that Legend is not a high end machine, for one reason or another, has not been working except for maybe some individuals. At the end of the day, our sales number is the biggest indicator.
We have promised our customers that we would provide the best machines at the best prices and that is exactly what we are doing.
Please stop this debate. Let people decide for themselves what they want to swing.
If the price difference is worth it for a user, let them spend it…. Maybe they want to dive 20 meters with it, maybe they want a lighter machine and these are worth the price difference for them.
Everybody is entitled to make their own choices.
Legend is another choice that performs as good as any of the machines mentioned here if we are talking about performance only!
What amazes me though is the fact that an individual can spend hours and hours trying to find something to talk negative about our machine
I really wonder why the same people have not shown the same effort for the other machines.
Because if they did, I can guarantee you they could have come up with many scenarios as they do with the Legend because I have personally seen many from others.
I wish I could really believe that they are all naïve and just trying to help end users. However, if that was the case, they could have easily contacted me first and check with me before putting out a video about 60-tones having a bug which works perfectly the way it is supposed to work! Then they put another one out saying Nokta said it is working normal. Don't you think they could have checked with us before posting the video?
As Nokta, we are VERY TRANSPARENT AND HONEST, WHEN WE HAVE AN ISSUE, WE SAY WE HAVE AN ISSUE! We did that with Simplex and announced to the whole world that there was an issue and stopped production, we did it with the Legend's 1.04! All we are looking for is FAIRNESS! Nokta is a company of the people and for the people!
At the end of the day, NO DETECTOR IS PERFECT including my competition and ours.
Having said that, the particular folio scenario that some think is an issue, is actually not.
It all has to do with how you design your multi.
Now, our M1 may not hit it well IN THAT ONE PARTICULAR scenario. Now we can tweak the M1 to make it hit easily in an update however we do not want to lose the sensitivity to gold.
What people miss is the fact that everything is a give-n-take situation for a detector.
Having said that, in the next update 1.10 which we announced weeks ago, we will be adding another multi freq which will probably stop this argument.
And I will be looking forward to the next challenge and useless efforts of some trying to push people away from a high-end detector that only costs 635 USD and trying to convince them to spend 2x + more!
I highly recommend some members to visit some other forums and check out what others are saying about the Legend who also own 2 of my competitors’ machines!

Guess what I showed foil wise is TRUE though. Confirmed by marketing rep. So again my test are the real deal it seems.

I have done similar test comparing other models besides LEGEND. Namely Etrac, Equinox and Deus 1 and 2. Folks and read can watch that info too. None of it is private.
So Legend has not been singled out.
LEGEND just happens to be latest release. And with all the updates it has to be retested to see what has changed or not changed.
So when another update comes.
Expect more tests coming from me.
Btw I used Legend yesterday for a considerable amount of time.

Those are my favorite headphones, been using them for over a year with my Nox. Great in the heat, plenty of volume, long battery life and they still allow you to hear around you for situational awareness.

How about a permanent delete button ? I know of several respected members who are no longer really participating on this forum and going elsewhere because of the inaction of the moderators. I'm not talking about a ignore button. A feature button where you type in a name and it permanently deletes any and all references to that name. No matter who re-quotes it. Our own personal , permanent...ban button.

2 things Dilek. #1 and most importantly that I think cannot be disputed legitimately : you did not have enough , qualified testers and time to adequately put the Legend through proper testing. There are still many flaws based on the number of updates. #2 , and not so important : I did join a FB Legend group. And in a short time frame when I posted a critical flaw , I was bombarded with attacks. Upon looking at this rather new group , I could easily see where it was going and decided it was best to abandon ship.Hello all! Hello! Thank you for your comment. In response to your first point, let's first make the distinction between ''bugs/flaws'' and advancements. If you look at the list of the items given in updates, the majority of them are new features and settings based on user responses to a question we asked on FB groups as well as on this forum: ''What additional features would you like to see on the Legend?''. And yes we did have some flaws but acknowledged them and corrected them faster than any other mfr.
Now, regarding testers, you may be right but then again who is a ''qualified tester''? Or what makes them qualified? People who are posting videos/comments about the Legend today have also tested products for us in the past. You think they did not miss bugs/flaws that surfaced after the product was distributed? You bet they did!
And that is why I announced that we will have ALL USERS test the next update as a beta version first.
Bugs / flaws / updates are today's reality and the best thing in electronics. I get updates on all my electronics almost weekly! Has anybody read what the updates involve on a phone? You may be surprised with the amount of bug fixes along with advancements.
What bothers me the most is the fact that as we are speaking, my competitor products that cost a lot more are also having issues that are discussed by its users / dealers etc yet some try to make it seem like Legend is the only device that had issues. I am not criticizing my competitor because as a manufacturer we know how hard it is to develop a detector.
However, there is a big difference. When we have an issue, we come out openly and say we have an issue.
The most important thing is to be able to stand proudly behind your product and do whatever it takes to make it right for the customers!
And I can proudly say that we are the only one in this industry in that sense!
Now regarding your second point – I am sorry for what happened in the FB group but please note that as Nokta we DO NOT moderate any Legend groups. We only have control over the official page and the users group. I personally try to engage and respond to some but cannot keep up with it all either.
