Diggers tv show tonight on NatGeo

where is the smily face insert for shame?

Watching right now....."It's a Toke....It's a Toke!!"

Sure is nice to hear beeps. It's been a week or two with all this snow.

Love that propointer in use..lol

Joe

never once herd of a "Toke" or a "Civ" not even sure why two guys from Montana would even find enough civil war relics to justify making up the term "Civ"

UPDATE; they now have another new term "colone" for colonial neither one have found a colonial coin yet one of them is named king George

I think I am punishing myself for something bad I did when I was younger by watching this show. The kids on Jersey Shore are rocket scientists compared to these two idiots. If Garrett is responsible for this show I will NEVER.......repeat NEVER buy a Garrett product ever again. I feel like I just got a "Labot" that's short for lobotomy to us detectorists. Someone owes me an hour back of my life.

I didnt like it, both guys are pretty annoying.

They make it all out to be about money. So many will go out to biy just cause these idiots make it seem like a profitable hobby. Sure we find valuables but we find so much junk and garbage too.

He digs a Colonial era coin and starts rubbing it with his thumb. Way to go genius. Rub harder next time. *sigh*

To me this is a sad day for metal detecting, those two darn fools out there digging like moles and only concerned about cashing in. I can only imagine how attractive that looked to those thinking to cash in.

Sad, ColoKid

Sloppy holes. NOTHING about responsible detecting. And a "cashing in" theme. Shameful.

i was very surprised that i didn't see one garrett sponsorship the whole show. the plugs weren't very clean but atleast it didn't look like planted finds and they showed the junk finds, the show coulda been alot worse. atleast it looked like these guys were havin a good time and at the end of the show there was a disclaimer about always asking permission to hunt private property. its not so much this show i'm worried about its that upcomming show on spike channel that will be the downside........

All of these reality shows are based on money. Pawn stars, American pickers etc. No reason to think this show wouldn't be. The bad thing is the way overly exaggerated values. None of those items had anywhere near those values. Not to mention these two are a couple of idiots.

Diggers is decent. Sure, they may inflate the value of some of the items, but so does American Pickers. I've been detecting 32 years, and this is the first show that sorta shows what it's like to detect, the excitement of finding something neat. Of course AT Pro guys are gonna go nuts, same with Pro-Pointer. At least they don't seed the ground and then roll the cameras, the finds are realistic.

Just saw Diggers...AT PRO in salt water?

I enjoyed it, especially their excitement of their finds. I had a slight problem with them finding ANYTHING with their coils in the salt water at the beach. Am I missing something here? My ACE 250 and VAQUERO absolutely HATE salt water! Beach is fine and wet sand is fine with the sensitivity turned down a tad but coil IN the salt water? Does the AT PRO have that capability? Otherwise, it was nice to allowed to hunt those areas!

When the fad of buying and finding out it's a lot of WORK...does this mean that there may be the detector of our dreams selling cheap on EBAY in a few months?

I just totally changed my mind about talking about ways to preserve MDing. You all know the score.

They just dig and fling the dirt all over the place like slobs.

That was the first thing I looked for. I was hoping they would explain the code of ethics but they never even cut a plug and just flung dirt everywhere! :no:Thats the kind of mentality thats gonna kill the fun for everyone. At least they expressed the importance of asking for permission.

News flash for everyone that missed the epic first running....the encore is running again right now...12:00-1:00 AM.
