Deus 2 on the beach?

If ML come out with a better machine a few years in response to the deus 2, that's a good thing in my books.

In the mean time if the deus 2 can give me an edge in the water over the competition I'll give it a shot. I went diving this morning at one of my regular spots and found a bunch of dig holes! thankfully they weren't very methodical by the looks of it and I managed to pickup a small 18k gold cross.

You crack me up... you already have a edge because you dive... I don't even swim

I’ll ask again does Deus have a repair center here in the US? If not…. Has anyone shipped a machine to France for repairs… I assume we will have to pay cost there and back.

Im aware of them..... but its very limited service. Like the battery in the coil and they dont act as a middle man. If its say the box you have to ship it. Not sure the Antenna would be include as a warranty item either. Im guessing depending on the weight or size of the package it could cost $75 to $150 to ship or more. Then its likely 8 days to get there..... repair time and 8 days back. Ive gotten ahead of myself..... nothings broken yet .

Tenn mentioned the ability to pattern search just for jewelry..... most machine being used now will..... be it tones or disc/notches.

Who you kidding? All you have to do is look at something and it breaks

My biggest concern is the antenna contact points corroding. it'll need to be rinsed off and protected well. The control box and coil look well waterproofed.

I REALLY want to see some of these targets being put in the beach at the depth advertised. I am not keen on skipping steps.

I want to see a saltwater beach hunter buy this detector test it... hopefully Carter and Gary Storm from Detector Comparisons will get their hands on one... then I will pay more attention to it...

My philosophy…. If you can make it … I can break it 😂.

I with you Craig…. Gary storm would be my choice as well. Get the thing wet…. At least neck deep wet in the salt water. Can say I really listened to the tones yet…. Is the gold range distinctive? Has to be in the water. Salt water hunting brings its challenges …. and kind of an after thought when it comes to these multi use machines. We are a smaller group and we push machines harder than anyone. Machines are getting better at finding round….. but didn’t ML kind of show us things change when targets aren’t flat with silver coins? I’d like to see how deep it goes on a pull tab… ya pull tab. If you do testing you will find more gold falls in that range than nickels.

I have hunted with both of them in the past... both are great guys ... they have hunted a lot of the same spots I still hunt cleaning up the scraps

Gary and I were chit chatting about spots back in the day they were finding the gold we could only dream about because they dove these spots I still hunt...

Carter does do some great video's, I'm going to message him. Seeing all of these video's I'm very tempted, but one thing for sure I don't want any of the locals seeing me with one digging gold. All I need is a few of them out at some of the places I hunt with a "As deep if not deeper" machine then My excalibur. The Deus is still far away from the AQ's depth but if these videos' are for real, which I do trust the Southern boys, it's going to be interesting a few years from now.;)

Update on Carter at Detector comparison. Carter said it is in the works, waiting on a machine and soon to come after that.

Anyone know if there is a repair center here in the States? 5 year warranty dont mean much if you have to send it overseas.

Dew.

Only a limited repair facility here in the UK, major repairs the machine returned back to France through the UK importer.

Longest I have waited for a coil cable to be replaced (XP Goldmaxx Power) from XP France is 6 weeks. Although in fairness to the UK importer I was offered a lone coil whilst mine was away.

You are good at modifying detectors get yourself a Trident Viper and put the guts of the Deus2 into the control pod of the Viper...

I think it’s great when detector companies start upping the game and we see more competition.

I saw a post from TENN apparently that repair site in MA can do work inside the box and pads. So thanks Doug. Us Yanks aren’t use to not having things at our fingertips.

Hopefully one of those guys will get it in the water as soon as it comes out. No one’s said a lot about the Legend here either. We know MLs got one in the wings…. Their flagship. I seen Dankowski asked on his site what the status of the AQ production model was.

Where did you see that at zDew? All I seen was this..they ask for details then give you a location.

I was told to do research instead of spouting off….. so I did. TENN apparently called and asked for prices for repairs up at the Deus repair site in MD. I have not called them but if I opt to buy of course I will. I’d like to know for sure how repairs will go. Not that I ever need repairs lol.
