All New Metal Detector Releases Follow The Same Curve

All new metal detector follow same curve?
Really.

Fisher AQ Impulse, imo a travesty.
Garrett AT Max a travesty.
About every thing White’s released in last 10 years a travesty. And where are they now?
Tesoro gone! As well.

Take a look.
It’s the newer detector companies who are on top.

Those bs articles in those Treasure magazines are finished. I never wrote a bs article for one of those Either!

Shipping has changed worldwide.
Who would have thought 20 years ago a person could have a detector shipped from Turkey and have it in USA in really hours?

Anyone think Garrett hemmoraged lack of sales due to Equinox? I’ll bet they did. Cell phone look is in,, dinosaur looking is out!!

Why did they wait and release Apex after Nox was released. Yeah we know why.

What happens if Xp release ORX 2, and it does everything and then some the AT Max does? And costs similar. I think I know.

Reckon those Hoover boys are watching Deus 2 videos? They should be.

Yeah looks like salt water hunters. Excal maybe out. Tarsacci maybe out too.

I got to read all the folks back when comments. As far as Deus, I
Deus 1 flimsy. Toy looking. Cute little French thing. Etc. wireless is fluff.

Yeah,, and some like to rest on a detectors past to try and save some face.
Bad strategy if you ask me.

Yeah what goes up must come down.
But some detector models never make it up so they never have to come down.

Social media exposes in quick fashion the best, better and not so good anything really.

Take a look at auto industry in USA.
Who would have thought Toyota would be one of the biggest 3 sellers? 30 years ago.
You drive even here in Tennessee. You see a shxt load of those Toyota logos on front of vehicles. Funny thing. Toyota products faced same bs scrutiny by the ole Chrysler, Ford and dodge owners back when.

Basically bottom line....
A company better NOT try and live (exist) on name only.
Better instead be making products that really compete and can withstand total criticism as far as social media these days. To be successful !!

TSS You hit the nail on the head!:yes::yes:

Some posts on this thread kinda calling Garrett out for not reinventing the wheel...There are Garrett users on this forum who pull well over a hundred silver a year, and some over 200 a year... And they'll be posting soon end of the year tally. ...Wonder if the guys with the newer tech on this thread will have those same results to post?

Well......It helps to be in a great location.

What "old coins" have you found and by what detector?

My old and your old are totally different. You have thousands of years more civilized territory than I do here in Pennsylvania.. My oldest coin to date is a 1822 LC... The full paper plate with silvers is old finds, years ago and on. The less filled plate is what I got last few weeks I think.Nothing was found with newer tech tho, although it could have been found with newer tech had I had a newer tech machine back then

I never said anything about the Tech. It looks like a great machine, especially compared to other top end metal detectors. By all means, purchase one. Hope you do well. If it raises the bar compared to the status quo, great! The other manufacturers will have to try and exceed and raise the new set bar. That's the natural cycle which stimulates technological advances. That was my point.

Ok none have said this so I will, Garrett is in trouble and they need to really up the tech game in their detectors otherwise who knows how long before they become the next Tesoro/Whites?😬😬😬😬

When I read these threads it makes me wonder if all the old coins, gold rings and cool relics I’ve found before these newer machines were out,,maybe it was all just a dream.. Maybe I’m alive and dreaming or dead and remembering.lol..Newer tech is cool, no question. But I definitely don’t need the latest or the greatest to make awesome finds, been doing that for years. That’s my point.

Maybe they were easy, un-masked targets. Btw, I see your ads buying, selling, then buying again the newest tech. If you don’t definitely need the newest tech why buy it?

Here's another thing, the old coins and relics are being pulled from the dirt with awesome tech(Minelab) so there is less or none to be found by any tech new or old.🤔😭😭

I like to try everything, that's my hobbie. And why would you assume nothing was masked and easy targets ?

The Nox parked many Excalibur's, and the Deus may affect the remaining new sells with that 5 year warranty. One year on the Excalibur is now a joke.

I do hope the Deus can hit deeper.... for these are Micky mouse depths for the beach..

We don’t know what has not been found find wise.
And a detector model could make it easier.
Did fbs make finding higher conductive coins easier back when vs those single freq detectors? Of course they did.
And back when there was bs talk when the fbs users were trying to tell folks how well they worked.
The white’s, Garrett and fisher crews were naysayers.
Some may have come around since though.

I could be a spin doctor here if I wanted to. I am not that kinda person.

Does anyone after watching Deus 2 videos thus far, do they think Xp didn’t work hard and put some thought into detector?
Might be best menu system made to date!!! To me anyways. Just looking at videos.
Integrated pinpointer Xp offers. Time saver too in the long haul imo.
Time matters loads when detecting.
Some may not care about their time detecting.

Well yes and no? With the Equinox, It depends. The portion of the beach I hunt that has the EMI I pray that I can do 10"

Highly concentrated black sand, I pray I can do 10"

Moving salt water around the coil of an Equinox. I can tell you there is no way in hell I am getting 10 inches, regardless of my settings. Now still water is a whole different subject.

Moving salt water is where the MDT excels and the Equinox fails. Where does the Deus 2 fit???? I can tell you for the most part that the only beach test I have seen I don't consider that "real waves"

Your coins look to be nearly all high conductor thick milled type. If your ground is low to mild mineralized almost any lowish, single freq detector with a decent recovery speed would find them targets.
When you then compare your small size target to a typical small size target found in the UK, it's a quarter of the size and thickness, you then appreciate the qualities of multi freq and how it filters the ground to let you find these targets at reasonable depth vs a single freq detector.

What are you talking about? Cars, magazines, French things,Garrett sales. You sound like a 12 year old blaming the rest of the world for a poor report card from school. I can't believe an adult can get so worked up over a piece of electronic equipment.

Take a deep breath and relax. You are in the high risk category for having a cardiac arrest.

You are totally correct, that's why I use just about anything and always find something cool.

 A joke for sure....But he is making a effort and I do have to give him credit for that...

I am impressed with his diving with it, many more times are needed. I know when I tested a few things in the past I would take them out and sink them in the deep end of the pool for 24 hours..

And I not sure about the build strength, look fragile for what some may need it for.. maybe even a few places I hunt when things kickup.

I got to agree with beachhunt a single freq mdt will blow away a equinox in moving saltwater and black sand and agree with joe that older detectors like excaliburs.cz21, soverigns, dual pi,infiniums etc will be pulling gold for years to come

Ok none have said this so I will, Garrett is in trouble and they need to really up the tech game in their detectors otherwise who knows how long before they become the next Tesoro/Whites?😬😬😬😬

Garrett and fisher both make the majority of their money via government contracts. I think they have the ability to build whatever but doubt their machines are there biggest money maker for either corporation

For sure not Calabash's fault on wave size at his beach day.
Actually, for those of us who hunt air-entrained wave wash know how hard this would be to show other people detector performance, but it can be done.

Time will tell/////////
