All New Metal Detector Releases Follow The Same Curve

Ok none have said this so I will, Garrett is in trouble and they need to really up the tech game in their detectors otherwise who knows how long before they become the next Tesoro/Whites?😬😬😬😬

Mmmmmm....... Garrett twice this past year had posted various positions to fill with their metal detecting line. They also added another shift to help keep up with their demand. That also included an electronic tech engineer. I am not sure where you are getting your information from? We sure have conflicting views, don't we. :)

People who read forums make up such a small percentage of all detector sales.

But I’ll bet they do make up 99.9% of the pre-orders though [emoji3]

What are you talking about? Cars, magazines, French things,Garrett sales. You sound like a 12 year old blaming the rest of the world for a poor report card from school. I can't believe an adult can get so worked up over a piece of electronic equipment.

Take a deep breath and relax. You are in the high risk category for having a cardiac arrest.

I didn’t have to blame anyone on my bad grades. I never made any. I exercise daily. Blame the rest of the world? Nope.
Just looking at reality. No spin.
Ghound seems understood what I said.

Your timing of starting this thread- very suspect.

Yes John very suspect didn't you have something to do with the Kennedy assassination

This is just advise, they may be hiring, but for the Detector market they are lagging... Unfortunately.
I like Garrett detectors, I still have my At pro and Ace250
They aren't great in iron unfortunately.
That's why I own an Equinox, and am trying to obtain an F70 if the money order gets there.

My lawyer has told me to reply "no comment" as this new charge is being investigated. Sorry guys.......:jail:

This thread will be the outline for every detector company’s marketing meeting after the holidays. If it’s not heavily redacted by the NWO

Hey OBN

Mostly true, but in the past more. I was wondering about my Equinox curve even though I had 40 years worth in before. I was pleasantly surprised my learning curve was short.

It looks today that Mfg's are putting lots of thoughts into preset programs that are running close to edge performance. Now, it is down to the user to know if you can run hotter, or in some cases even cooler at your given location.

This is a clear advantage of someone experienced or completely new to the hobby that was not there 20 years ago.

I agree with this statement 100%. New tech is getting easier to use in my opinion . Makes it much easier for people new to the hobby to jump right in.

I like this too. I say this alot, but who wants to fiddle faddle with setting all the time,I just wanna hunt. The easier that machine is to use the better I like it.

Agreed. It’s looking like the deus II’s factory settings are optimized in each mode. Sure you change the tone settings around to your liking, but, from what I’ve seen, you’re not going to get a whole lot more out of it by changing things. Now on the nox everything from sensitivity to iron bias to recovery speed on the factory mode settings can be set “hotter” so to speak. However you can still hunt with the nox in stock settings and do well.

That's the truth, I can't tell you how many new hunters we have gained at the beach in the last 5 years. And it because of that. I do think the lower the price (like the Nox) the more will take the jump..1600 maybe a little to much for some.

Percentage too high. Why?
Take Nokta Makro Legend detector.
Chances are more folks have looked at via Facebook not detecting forums.
Then folks use google, etc to find dealer.
And call and or inquire and preorder.

It was humor, not a statistical citation from a study.

Why is it that most of the attacks or skepticism towards new machines come from Garret owners/supporters? I have noticed this trend for years now. Most nokta, xp, minelab users seem to be excited for any new release and willing to try the new machines out. Garret supporters here instantly discredit the new machines and criticize those of us that like to try the latest releases.

I was even excited for the Apex when it was announced. I posted about it here on the forums. Pre-ordered it and tested it for a summer. Found out quickly it was not on the same level as other newer machines at the time. I was very disappointed. But nevertheless I gave it a shot. Garret folks don't seem to share the same excitement for the latest tech and new releases. Seems odd to me.

When was the last time Garrett "hit a home run" with a brand new metal detector? Was it the AT Pro? Assuming it was the AT Pro, it doesn't seem odd at all...

Just remember, that no new metal detector release will make others obsolete. It doesn't matter which company represents the latest and greatest. A newer release down the road will be designed to compete with the previous release. It will have better features, perhaps new technology and might cost less to compete. Just a little wisdom to plant some feet back on the ground. Don't dump your current detector(s) quite yet.

So nothing new from Garrett then?

Minelab, XP, Nokta-Makro - All contributing to the 'curve', however can we get some more contributions from the US Manufacturers in 2022?

Its not about making others 'obsolete', its about providing the latest technology & design for their ever growing clientele ...

You have to admit that Nokta-Makro keep hitting them out of the park ...:cool3:
