If your considering a Simplex

BUT, I never Said anything about the Legend in my post, so there's THAT

attachment.php

My point was I had a Simplex for quite a while and was a member of the Simplex group on FB, and this thread was the first I had heard about any issues with the Simplex? That would tell me that your problem doesn't seem to be shared by that many users. Not that it makes the issue any less important, but as I pointed out, pretty much any manufacturer would require a claim from a small group to be investigated before just handing out free parts.

Right or wrong, I'm just saying that would be the case from my experience.

I can tell you Chevy is not going to send out a replacement bolt based on the complaint of a few and a video without first having it brought in to a dealer to be tested. They will want to know if it is a production wide issue or just something a few don't like.

What I said was NOT about a replacement bolt...... It was about a seat that would not stay tightened. So tell me..You bought the car and the seat kept coming loose and you take it to your dealer and the dealer says there is simply not enough complaints to warrant them fixing it under warranty. You're going to be OK with that? Exactly, you wouldn't

I think too many are combining two separate issues on this which baffles me

If you want to say Gauntlet is just over complaining..Then ok..Say it and move on. Many will agree with that.

If you are saying that he shouldn't complain because others complained and their complaint wasn't addressed so he should let it go. That is just crazy

So, it was OK when they complained but since there is a complaint limit on it he should let it go. That's just absurd.

If you say he should just spend the $29 Dollars to Mod it himself. Well then why do any of us ever complain about anything. We should just take it on the chin and move on.

It's amazing how many people just love to keep coming back to respond to a threads that they claim irritate them. For those people all I can say is that YOU might be the source of your own irritation.

Seems too be the way of the world

Do I think Gauntlet should give it up.. YES!!!! but only because it's falling on deaf ears when it comes to Nokta (FACT) and has for a long time obviously.

But do I support his right to do it? I sure do Even if I would have let it go a long time ago.

Not only that, I believe since he contacted the company initially like many others did and they for whatever reason didn't respond to him then they opened themselves up to the scrutiny. So people should quit babying them so much.

Are you intentionally ignoring my replies? Did you LOOK at the video I just posted where she acknowledged the problem?

Why would they just not replace the shafts since you say the number was so few? Seems a small price to pay for a company to stay in good with its customers.

I mean 100 shafts for example is much less expensive than 1,000 people not buying their product. Besides, DOING just that would probably get them many MORE customers. as I have stated before. But it's their choice

Obviously NO ONE here has used a warranty claim for anything.

Ever hear the squeaky wheel gets the grease? There were MANY opportunities given by me, as well as many attempts to have questions answered, from the top. They were blatantly ignored.

I figure I've got another 20-25 years left in me

Again, I'm the ONLY one here who has ever asked to have a faulty part covered. There's an awful lot of lucky people here.

FYI, many of these posts are simply deflection, from the facts.

I'm not doing ANYTHING because don't I expect ANYTHING from N/T, they've shown me all I need to know about them, this is simply for the benefit of others. Said it before, I'll say it again, I'll accept nothing from them at this point. They've made their bed, now they can lay in it.

I'd have thought much more of N/T, if they simply would have advertised the Simplex with no lower shaft, and it required purchase separately. What they'd included was just about the same as nothing, just without the disclaimer that a useable shaft was an additional cost.

Because that eats into profits, and profits are obviously more inportant.

Look at it on the bright side Gauntlet. The view isn't as bad on the bottom of the customer satisfaction ocean as I thought.

No, but I sure am hungry!

Didn’t say you mentioned the Legend. Others have.

But you were specifically quoting MY post by saying...... and I Qoute

"The Legend by contrast already has the carbon fiber shaft as a stock. It is well built and detects as advertised. So, making assumptions about the Legend based on the stock lower shaft being too flexible on the Simplex doesn’t fly".

Now tell me where I said anything about the Legend shaft being flexible?

Turning a conversation into something it isn't doesn't fly either

Such a fit for a problem you have already fixed, but we're the ones who can't let it go? LOL

The bolt in the seat is an example and could have been any issue, but there isn't really much more to keeping a seat tightened but bolts. Just for the record.

This whole subject would have faded long ago had it not been for a few that cannot let a simple opinion that doesn't fit their agenda go unresponded. As long as you continue to feel the need to try and explain away the opinions of others, they will continue to respond in kind.

I really don't think this thread will do a thing toward dropping the Simplex sales. All I have ever seen, other than this thread, is how the Simplex is the best buy on the market for $250.

You're probably right.

Thanks for the bump

Here's your chance to step up to the plate, since no one else has. Please show me ANYWHERE I said that was my intent. I've plainly stated I'm simply warning others of the shaft issue and failure of them to make it right.

Now, go ahead

Here's a little music while you wait......

ETA: Looks like I'd inadvertently lost part of your post.

Again, see my early reply, then please google the definition of "irony"

You're simply trolling now, because the only "opinion" of others I've "explained away" was the fact I shouldn't be REQUIRED to spend additional money on a new detector.

Good day!

I had typed something up but suddenly realized what a waste of time it was. So I'll say this. You should really invest time in READING the posts before responding. Changing what someone says or taking it out of context isn't ever going to make you right on the subject. If you like them, buy them. I applaud anyone that has the grit to deal with faulty products. Anyway, I'll step aside and let you have the last word.

Who deemed that part 'FAULTY' Gauntlet?

YOU?

Has it been sent to the manufacturer to confirm your opinion?

Did it ever occur to YOU to contact Nokta-Makro FIRST, BEFORE slandering their products, service and company name WITHOUT so much as them being able to even start to satisfy your obvious problem?

Now you are twisting that to - you have contacted them several times and have got no response - REALLY? - I think that is more due to YOUR unprofessional behavior NOT theirs.

YOU are not qualified to publicly state whether a part is faulty or not - that is the job of the manufacturer - SEND your product back to Nokta-Makro for tests to be carried out, OTHERWISE purchase the MODIFIED shaft.

if YOU want them to do a complete part replacement OR cover the cost of the part you believe to be faulty, THEN SEND it to N-M to be checked so they can see if YOUR one is indeed faulty - HOW HARD is that?

NO NEED to change the world for you Lad.

I cant understand why someone with so much knowledge in the industry would act so immaturely for such a simple issue - Simply contact the manufacturer.

Nokta-Makro have ALWAYS welcomed this approach as they DO listen to their customers, who CONTACT them, so they may implement changes/improvements to their products as we have witnessed many times in the past. This was also UNHEARD of until Nokta-Makro came along and no doubt accounts for a lot of their success today.

It is sad to see US manufacturers in decline however there is no point standing around, scratching your butt, complaining about nuts and bolts, when your soap boxes cant keep up ...

FACT IS - what Nokta-Makro have done within this industry is UNMATCHED and absolutely remarkable and to have so MANY exceptional metal detecting products with such a high success rate in build quality & performance is earth shattering. Regardless of which manufacturer that has achieved this ....... they are an ASSET to ALL who treasure hunt and anyone who loses their cool over such an INSIGNIFICANT issue in the grand scale of things, possibly needs to be ground balanced again.

Have a nice day  and I hope Nokta-Makro DO give you the shaft :cool3:

I honestly wasn't going to waste my time in response to your post, but changed my mind.

Let me know when you actually go back and read the entire thread, because I'm tired of repeating previous statements to those too lazy to read. So I will ignore all the questions you've posted in your attempt to "speak to the manager. "

I'm also curious, does one need to get a "factory clearance" now to make statements about detectors, or is that just from N/M? What qualifies YOU to make the statement about N/M? Are YOU factory certified, or just live under the local bridge ?

Have you made the same statement to others here expressing complaints about their detectors? If not, why not? How do THEY have the qualifications to, but for some reason I don't?

Please inform all those complaining about their new Legends, that they don't have the qualifications to do so. That is unless you're simply trolling here.

What about those bragging on the "quality" of theirs? What makes THEM qualified to claim a detector is "built like a tank"? Have they ever actually "built a tank"? If not, how would they know what exactly that involved?

Please answer ALL these questions in detail, unless that is you just want to be yet another "Karen" who likes something I don't.

Especially this one. Please post your qualifications to make said statement, as well as citing the source of your claim.

You say return the detector to be checked out. First thing before you can do that you NEED a RMA number and address to send it to.

Because he's being intentionally obtuse.

Now, if I were to pay shipping to, and from (because their factory authorized service center has posted here stating N/M is satisfied with the "quality" I've posted pic of in this thread) after denial, then I'd have already paid for the forced purchase to purchase the useable quality shaft.

Not exactly smart advice from someone attempting to prove their superior intelligence, is it?

Also, he's failed to list his "qualifications" for questioning MY qualifications.
* see edit*

Again, you can't make this stuff up, it's right here in plain text, in their own words.

ETA- * In all fairness, he does have a link to his site which appears to be a gathering of other links. Now, if he has a YT channel, then he's obviously qualified.

Gauntlet, i’m not gonna lie I’m a little bit lazy. I did glance through this. I’m not sure who you bought the metal detector from. I’m guessing it wasn’t me though, i’m still shipping mine with the free extra coil😁. Shoot me a text if I can help you in any sort of way. 734-624-8462.

It wasn't you, but I certainly appreciate the offer of help.

Since purchase, I've fixed the issue myself, without further financial gain of N/M.

In the future I'll certainly keep you in mind for additional purchases.

Thanks!
