Went back to an old house in the woods where I was skunked last year. Skunked this year as well after about an hour and a half. Tons of iron. Kept isolating and digging these octagonal hook things tho, which rang as dime-sized silver, so it seems unlikely that the place was hit hard before, unless they thru them back. Anyone have any idea what they are? All found in one area of the site; may help me figure out what was going on there ...

Then onto the grassy area, and dug this white thing. Rang in the nickel/pulltab range. Any ideas what this is?

Finally headed over to the wood chips, and managed a modern token and a silver earring and all of 9 cents of clad. At least we got some silver for an otherwise long and frustrating outing. Thanks for looking.

the hex shaped piece was used to hold roofs on very old buildings. They are nightmares. They sound so good when you swing over them.

Always fun to get off the track and hunt. WTG on the silver. The white thing kinda looks like a seal - they put them on product bags to kind of lock them, visually. Just my best guess, Steve in so az
