My oldest silver in many years

Rehunted an 1850s farmstead site today and found these. I pretty much dig everything that isn’t obvious deep iron or a pop can overload. Thought it was apiece of a tab top at first but upon brushing it off I saw it was round. A shocker when I saw it was a silver coin.

Good stuff! Other than the copper, the assemblage looks colonial era, late 18th Century. Love to see the clay pipestem! Any backmarking on the flat button?

All the pipe stems I have found were lying on top of the ground. .??

Any remnant of the triple gilt left? That will frequently hang in there a while. I heard somewhere that you frequently find such pipe stem sections because others would also smoke the pipe.

I must reiterate. The only ones I found were in plowed or tilled farm fields.
