Looks like a Fisher 1280 aquanaut  There is Joe's AQ :D
I was tell a friend of mine about the New "AQ". He use to be a authorize Fisher repair center, and apparently does not keep up with New Fisher detectors anymore. He was convinced I was talking about the 1280.... and I'm not even sure if I got the point across.

It sure does. Wow...a bikini-clad woman flinging her wet hair back while clutching a metal detector close to her "chest" sure makes me want to rush out and get one.....not! I thought this detector was for serious hunters! :?:

You already have a serious PI detector... I ran it the other day sure runs nice and smooth and its super deep...

Maybe the 1280 is going to be sold to guys in the US to use

For those of you who like to hunt with buddies.........how close do you think you will get if one or both of you have an AQ?

You won't know until you hunt with someone Dew... When I hunt with my friends with me swinging the blue and they using their nox detectors we can be as close as 8 feet with no interference.. when I had my DF I could hear my friend hunting with his 15 feet away...

Quiz time.... who posted these words?

I'll buy a TDI BH if the price is much more then 1299. And I swear I will spank that fisher with my video's just like I helped turn the PP mode on the excalibur into the best thing that every happened to a detector besides the strait shaft.

How we have progressed or haven't

:dash3:, Lets just say....I have seen the light....:secret:

I was thinking... looking under your screen name... oldcherrypicker... you will be feeling that old
Lets hope so....that means it's deep. Really it won't be the Miracle machine, just a back up to the excaliburs...once I learn a area's target habits and see the need it will get used. I have a few spots that deep is all that is needed, very little trash. I do see me tearing it a part after the warranty and making a couple changes. I just hope I like that coil.....

Anyone thinking it's going to kill the gold will be disappointing.

Joe

Since replenishment sand is a problem over here , maybe the AQ will pull some gold , had fun last year pulling coins , silver, tungsten junk, but expected a little gold , the only thing that scares me is doing 60 blocks & no gold , I didn't hunt much in 2019 , but the hunts I did were long, hopefully for me this machine is my lucky charm buddy , happy hunting , and congrats on 15 rings , just in one month of the new year . 15 x 12 buddy = 180 gold for the new decade :kingdances::kingdances::kingdances::kingdances::kingdances:

I dont see me using this machine daily either Joe...... unless it disc better than i think it will. BUT.... in fall and winter or after ive hit a beach heavy with the MDT then it will get used. That coil appears to be close to an old whites military design coil. Hope it moves easily and DONT float much. It will give a lot of coverage.... just not sure how it will handle muti targets together. Thats why a 9" coil in the water would be a better choice to me for a PI. Id use my MDT for recent drop periods..... then the PI with the 9" coil to work area i found a lot of targets in later. Ive never been a fan of PIs..... i just found more working a great portion of the beach with less digging. PIs are time consuming and can be back breaking work...... hopefully this one will be different. THIS IS THE MONTH Carl M said the machine could be out........

Dew... after you get tired of digging those deep crab trap parts and such... give me a call and I will take it off your hands at a steep discount.. I'm only willing to do this because I like you.. :D

LOL Craig .....im hoping thats not the case. I tell you one beach i hunt thou could get bad...... WWII casings and bullet pieces. TINY... bullet pieces. As a water guy here in Fl..... i just dont see how anyone can go wrong having one of these in their closet. There are times with so few targets its worth having a deeper machine.... disc or not. If this rivals Eric Fosters machines...... this should be fun to play with. If it doesnt work out...... ill have to sell it BEFORE word get out. Ill be keeping quiet for awhile on this one. Maybe a learning process for me. Man..... i get the coil coverage...... but i H O P E... they make a 9" coil. Otherwise could get tricky with multi targets because of the size and HALO on this coil. Its not a VLF so i dont know what its going to do with near targets. Carl said Dec early last year....... then Feb just last month.......her we are Feb and we arent getting any marking. Seems like OVERSEAS market is holding us up here. I say let them have it when or IF they ever get their certification. Yes its all about ME......hey i got a great idea send that upgraded one Ricks getting to me. Id dont know anymore about a PI than he does..... but i do know how to get it wet and test how sturdy it is.

I can't wait to watch you show us the mangled AQ

I started beach hunting with a pulse Dew... just by paying around with the ground balance it would disc out targets I didn't want to dig... I'm at a point now where I don't care if they were offering it for a thousand dollars I still wouldn't be interested in it... 30 years of abusing my body doing landscaping has taken its toll... Plus where I hunt these days I don't need anymore depth than I am getting with the OBN blue... 99% of my spots have a clay or prat base targets don't get past it...

I know all about bullets I have quite a collection of 22 up to 50 caliber Last week hunting with the TDI I was finding them way too deep for my liking..

The only beach I would have liked to try the AQ on that beach...

Who is Rick? :?:
