Awesome save my friend. That stoneware urn looks like it should have a bunch of old Roman gold in it.
I though maybe it was full of ashes but I hope you're right.Awesome save my friend. That stoneware urn looks like it should have a bunch of old Roman gold in it.
I'll tell you something - if you would've asked me I would've told you that I would've thought that I had a better chance of finding anther Rolex than a metal detecting scoop thrown out like that.I thought you had found another Rolex... but this thread does not disappoint by any means. Congrats on the cool 'new' scoop.
I found a used once AT pro in the box at a yard sale for $50 once. Sold it for $400 next day. Never seen a scoop at a yard sale or curbside.I'll tell you something - if you would've asked me I would've told you that I would've thought that I had a better chance of finding anther Rolex than a metal detecting scoop thrown out like that.
Did you check with the found metal detector to see if the scoop was buried in the sand?Oh, well! I once found a metal detector on the beach, but never a scoop!

Here is a 30 year old sunspot, I'm guessing one of the first made? No back plate.. I did the video in 2011 of Steve Think he had 137 gold pieces the year before, he hunted South Beach also.. Beautiful Place..I believe this scoop is a early Sunspot...
I had one earlier than that, that I won... it was a 90 degree ocean scoop... I hated it after a wave hit me and I had a big gold ring in it and the wave washed the ring out and I never found it again... it was basically open on top...Thanks Craig- that confirms Earl. It has that hard black plastic thing too.
