2018 Wisconsin Old Coin Contest

It’s over! This morning brings a new crown and our oldest reported coin from the great state of Wisconsin,an 1833 Large Cent found by Trapper(jack and jill). Needless to say,the title comes in addition to a season which has seen some other firsts for our friend from the Milwaukee area!
Congratulations SIR! More later....but for now,the contest is closed.

Closed ? The contest is over? What the? This contest is the only thing that motivates me to hit the turf 🤔.
Fine I'll stay home and put new belts on the snow blower today 😐.
Congradulations Trapper 👍

Appreciate you running this contest Kevin. Its a honor to be lucky enough to hold this crown. I had actually forgotten about the contest until you brought the thread back up. This whole year has been a blessing for me with a awful lot of really nice finds. That week with the 2 Large Cents and the Capped Bust Dime and those Seated's will be memories I'll always cherish. Thank you all again. Trapper

You sir, are no Jack Kennedy!
Imagine my power being usurped by a Boston Red Sox type character.
Now I will say one thing, my KG coin was actually found in Milwaukee, in the roadbed, not the curbstrip.:laughing:
Luckily I am not the president of Wisconsin, just the Milwaukee Metal Detecting Group - meeting next Tuesday...

Of course I am no Jack Kennedy, though, I umm, taught him everything he knew. I was his garba... uhhh, best friend. Yeah, that's it. His best friend. Tommy. uhhh, Tommy Flanagan. metal detector.... Inventor of the Metal Detector. Yeah, that's the ticket. Just last week, I ate, errr, found a dozen chocol....errr, gold coins. In a 1x1 patch of ground that has been extensive searched... By the NSA. Yeah, the NSA.
