Another good doorknocking session.....5 silvers, 14 wheats

I went back down to Ray again today to get a coffee on my off tower. I drove over to Epping, ND and had no luck whatsoever so I headed back to Ray to do some doorknocking.
First house I almost got a yes but the guy had to take off but the second place gave me the okay.
Some of the yard looked like it had been dug up at one point and some other areas looked suspicious. One area which looked original to me was loaded with silver and wheats! Nothing terribly old but a lot of fun to detect!

Thanks Mark! The soil up here is amazing when it comes to coins that have been it for a century. I dug an IHP today that still had some of the shiny mint luster on it.

Thanks Buell! I've been on fire this month!.....I'm up to 26 Silvers already this year, 7 of which are Barbers. I did a bit of swinging earlier today and got an IHP and a half dozen wheats so that wasn't too bad. I was kind of hoping for an old silver but it wasn't in the cards today......no complaints here though!

Outstanding hunting!!! I wish I had the door knocking ability haha I've tried a few times. Always get the awkward "im not sure" or "someone's already been here with a metal thing"

Thanks Kansas! I always like posts that have real nice pictures to see.....isn't that mainly what we're looking for when we click on a post. Posts with just stories and no pics or very poor quality picks are kind of a let down if you know what I mean.

Thanks hoser! The hunt I'll never forget was from a couple weeks ago when I got a Barber Half, Barber quarter, SLQ, semi-key wheat and a gold signet ring from the early 1900's.......that was an insane hunt!
