I am in the market for a D2 I see multiple packages/prices
I will not be using it in the water mainly parks and hopefully some private yard permissions. I am pretty sure I want to start with the 9-inch coil and maybe the 13-inch. what else are must-have items? I have always been a Minelab user so I already have pinpointers and digging tools. My soil is mild and I am located in the center of the nation plenty of snow on the ground and single-digit temps, so no hurry. Hoping to catch a sale or even a used unit would be ok.

Looks like if you’re not going to do any water hunting you can get the lite setup with just the ws6 puck (no remote) for $800 retail.

9in coil is very capable, I'd start there and upsize later if needed. Definitely need headphones. You don't necessarily need the remote, but it's a lot more user friendly to make adjustments with the remote as opposed to the WS6 headphone module. Keep an eye out for used deals. I snagged one off the auction sites for a good price late last year.

I went ahead and got the full package with the 9inch coil back in February
But I have been hammered with blizzards cold and storms. I have watched numerous videos and read the manual a few rimes , so once we get thawed out I will be ready

I just ordered one with the 9” coil.
  1. one I want to keep as light as possible.
  2. I’m not in a hurry to get done so I take my time
  3. I don’t like digging holes more than 12 inches and that 9 is pretty deep!
