What does everyone do for a living?

I'm in law enforcement. Been puttin bad guys in jail for 18 years. I had been on our mounted unit for the last year and a half until i got bucked off, broke my arm near the shoulder and had to have surgery. With a plate in my arm lookin for tamer hobbies like md'ing. It'll be safer as long as I don't do it from horseback:lol:

I'm a union Pipefitter/Plumber and a Welding Instructor at our Apprenticeship Training Center. Also a Firefighter at a local Fire Department.

my day job is a Process Engineer at a local plastics company - I'm responsible for making sure our 65 injection molding machines are running at peak efficiency

BUT my passion is that I'm a small business owner in PA - Lar's Muscle Parts - I part out 70-81 Camaros/Firebirds/Trans Ams, doing a lot of media blasting/painting/powdercoating of the parts before I Ebay them

...and business is good!

My Dad died of cancer at a young age, also, and my Mother who is almost 90 has had 2 types of cancer. Part of getting cancer is just due to aging, the other is probably due to exposures, diet, and lifestyle. Still smoking and sun exposure are major causes along with excess alcohol use (not moderate use) and chemical exposures usually in the workplace. Thanks for the note.

Interesting reading...

I'm in IT, and have been for 20+ years even though my educational background is science and business (MBA). I help maintain the company web sites, focusing on product information (high tech manufacturing firm). My wife and I have a little house on 10 acres in Pa, and would love to retire there someday (at least for the summer) and still hang on to our place in Fla.

I work for Tesoro Electronics. I am their Marketing Director, Tech Support, Customer relations and Dealer relations.
I have given some seminars on MDing and love to help people out.
