Mason Dixon line north.

Thanks for the heads-up! Last night, Garrett (@Wolf-Dog) & I found an open field to view the Northern lights. It was my first time to definitely see the streaks & patterns in the sky, and I loved it. Some people in our area (with better cameras than I) took spectacular shots. Mine had the graininess of 1970s television... but I'm still happy to have some. Hoping to try again tonight.

In my pic, you'll likely need to turn your screen's brightness all the way up to see the colors well.

We got socked in with clouds from a rain front coming in. So I didn't see it either. No big deal, I've seen them thousands of times over the years. Best light show I have ever seen was the year several of us went on a sea kayak trip to Isle Royale. No light pollution there and the northern lights were over the top.

That sounds beautiful! Can you recall what the colors were like? Were they vivid even to the human eye? I would love to see the lights from somewhere farther north. My dad used to watch them up at the Boundary Waters.
