Help using the GTAX 550

Hi butch and Pam. I suggest just playing with your MD as much as possible. I like to set it in coin mode. Scan coins one at a time pass the coil, speed doesn't matter. Next take the following coins and get some markers for your holes. dig five holes about 3-4 inches each. Bury the Q,N,D,P and pul tab gold and silver in the holes. Label your Popsicle sticks that coincide with penny quarter, nickel, pulltab, dime, quarter, gold, silver . take the MD and scan each hole. scan from different angles and bobb the MD up and down and get a feel for where the coins are in there holes. Let me know how this is going ad and I can add to it, have fun and if you want to dig coins listen for consistent snd, it must beep over your target every time. if it doesn't beep consistently every time then it's usually junk, hope this helps.

I have fun!

I am a Whites, Tesoro and Garrett dealer so I sell FUN!

I also own a promotional marketing company where I help business people make more money.

gismapper is a...

...GIS/mapper. Surprise?

I'm a geography geek. Started out working for county government as an environmental planner...eventually phased into just computer mapping/Geographic Information Systems. Now I'm more of a data analyst/developer, but still working with geographic data for a software development company. GIS is the coolest technology ever invented...after MDs, of course.

I really enjoyed geocaching, but MDing has that beat...the challenge is greater (you don't even get coordinates!) and the reward is very tangible (no trades...just keep it all!). Even without finding anything, it's still great to be outside with the fam, playing in the dirt!

My name says what I do. Portraits, Wedding, etc. Three of us that graduated together opened a photography studio in Salem, MA, about 4 years ago. Lightshed Photography Studio.
