The correct mask is a fitted n95. I know I had to try multiple sizes before I found one to pass the fitment test. Fit test is a hood and a certain type of smoke is inserted inside it. Your not supposed to be able to smell or taste it when you breath wearing a properly fitting N95 .

No other readily available mask really work, and if the n95's aren't properly fitted they don't either. The general public does not wear fitted N95's.

I wear this mask and its available to the general public... I air it out for a day before putting it on... it smells like vinegar probably from the copper or zinc...

When I spray enamels I wear a charcoal respirator. My mask cost more than your little paper mask, 100 to 1 and are inherently better. Yet, there is still residue that enters my mask. So bring your pie hole to me and prove me wrong.

I vehemently disagree with everything you posted except this and in a free country I have the right to state it . That is your right as it is my right to not get the vaccine. Mask do absolutely nothing but make you talk and look funny wearing them. That too should be my right to not be mandated to wear a mask. As you said, it's a free country. Truth is neither you or anyone else who has received the vaccine know what the long term affects are.

I agree with your right to disagree! However, being 72 with a likely life expectancy of around 84 (no male in my family has lived past that age), it is highly unlikely I will live long enough to ever know what the "long term" effects are. And I refuse to live my life in fear...fear of government, conspiracy theories, radical government, people I do not know, bank failure, shortages, etc., ect., etc.

I live prepared for what I can control, and do not have time nor interest to worry about what I cannot.

A lot of factors work into this for it to actually work.
I can be standing in line at the supermarket and smell the guys breath in front of me despite both of us wearing a mask. But if he coughs into the mask, a good % of those particles will be caught in the mask.
