The legend, ------- and the truth...

Just think about how that video comes off to someone with no background to the situation, and how simply letting a conversation happen below the video could give context. This video could very well chase away new people from your company. If I hadn't known the situation I would have been very put off by that video coming from a company like that. If it was only meant for calabash and his followers then send it to them personally, don't put it out on a public forum with no room for discussion. When you limit discussion on something like that it comes off as you are trying to control a narrative or prevent certain info from getting out. Not saying that is the case but that is just the view from my foxhole.

Dilek, If you think he is maliciously misrepresenting your products, you should report the video(s) in question to Youtube. Google takes such things pretty seriously.

Additionally, I would encourage you to download those specific videos as evidence, before he (or youtube) takes them down , so they can be used as evidence in case Notka feels that it has suffered financial harm by them and wish to pursue legal remedy in Court.

Best two post so far!

I respect Dilek and the Notka brand, but this video sinks to the Calabash level.

Dilek, I hope you will take the advise given here. Best of luck to you and the company!

man you confuse me. comments on good... comments off bad. Comments off is bad because it does not allow discussion of info provided. I dunno how to make it any more clear than that.

Comments may be shut off because there are only so many hours in the day to reply to comments. N/M may simply wish not to get bogged down in the inevitable arguments that will result with internet "experts".

Comments are not just for the video maker. They provide context and discussion for the viewers as well

Seen an election recently? If your not flinging mud at the other guy you are going to drown in it.
However, from what I saw from the video Nokta was defending itself. Not attacking and not hiring trolls to monitor the internet looking to spam videos whenever the opportunity arises.
Someone that doesn't know what is going on isn't going to open that video, never mind watching 25 minutes of it.
Perhaps FMDF should stop allowing youtube links in certain catergories, temporarily of course, until the mud flinging stops? Just my 2 cents.

Thank you! Believe me, he cannot hurt us financially, he is not that important. I made the video simply because we have a responsibility towards end users. Unlike many other big companies, no matter how big we get, we always stand small in front of our customers. This is not even about Nokta Makro or Calabash...it is about the end users and their rights to oobtain accurate information. Thank you!

Thank you! However, let me give you my view with a quote:

If professionalism means keeping silent and not standing up for your own rights and others', I am proud not to be one then. Thank you!

To be clear i do not want you to remain silent....rather i want you to let the discussion happen.

Nokta Makro has allowed commenting on this video just as Dilek reported. Even I figured out how to do it on their Facebook link on their website and I am an idiot. No one is being blocked from commenting on it here either and Dilek is responding right here.

The concept that price difference automatically equals better quality and greatness is just ridiculous.

I went through almost 30 VLF detectors trying to find ONE that would just correctly detect a 6" deep US nickel or pull tab after I semi retired and realized how dumb I had been for limiting my detecting life to gold prospecting for 20 years with detectors that don't even have target IDs. I was like a mini dealer trying out everything including the available SMFs from Minelab and Whites. They didn't do well out here either........

Yeah tnsharpshooter, Minelab launched the Equinox out of a plane........I am glad one landed in my back yard. It was an Equinox 600 for around $600 and it could definitely detect (by detect I mean hit the targets and identify them by conductivity and target ID) a 6" nickel, a 10" silver dime, 14" Indian Wars 3 ringers and tiny .25 gram and smaller gold nuggets......and it was supposedly waterproof. These results were in the field wild hunts, not air tests or tests setup on a cooler. My $1200 original Deus could detect the tiny .25gram and smaller gold nuggets using Goldfield and an HF coil......otherwise it failed on anything deeper than 3" and was just beep/dig. David, I got a lot of help from you about how to set up the Deus 1 when I realized it just couldn't compete with the Equinox 600. Your information was helpful but it didn't change the fact that a $650 detector was detecting circles around $1200 Deus 1, CTX, Etrac, V3i, DFX and many others at my sites.

My $640 Legend can do exactly the same as the Equinox 600/800. Well done Nokta Makro. That makes it and the Equinox 600 about half the price of a new Deus 1 and half the price I paid for my Deus 2. It ain't half the detector..........

Deus 2 can do just as well or bit better than the Equinox and Legend on everything except tiny low conductors like sub gram gold where it does no better than the ACE APEX I tested and quickly sold.....I will keep Deus 2 for sure since my right shoulder and wrist likes it a lot.

THANK YOU! This is all what Nokta Makro and I are looking for - truth and fairness!

Let the manufacturers compete - not the end users! End users should not take sides ..let us compete so you guys can benefit.

Several of the detectors which failed were also Nokta Makro single frequency detectors and Garretts and FTP and..........

I am very fortunate that I now have viable choices for detecting in really bad ground conditions.

Some people can blame all of this uproar on Minelab if they want for the way they released the Equinox.

The Equinox itself has done just what Minelab said it would do for me anyway. The same goes for the excellent Legend. If XP improve Deus 2 Goldfield (the name implies it is for VLF level gold prospecting which means small gram to sub gram gold to anyone that has a clue) it will definitely be the all purpose detector that XP and some YouTubers have claimed it is supposed to be.

I really like how Dilek is so passionate about NM products. I wish more manufacturers would have open dialogue with customers like NM does. These guys actually listen to what their customers have to say, and then make changes accordingly. Well done.

Calabash literally needs to address how he got a free Deus II and his Equinox all of a sudden quit working in the same test garden it used to kill it in. If he got a free Legend we may not be where we are today and he wouldn't be carrying on about he needs to make drama vids and boxing stuff up and sending it off to some poor sucker who bought his junk. I feel for whoever bought his Excal II since he didn't have it checked at Minelab first.

Calabash and his puppet "Giuliani" got both owned in that video.

Their lack of knowledge and true understanding of the technology behind detectors is exposed.

They just don't have the capacity to really get it.

I finally got around to listening to the video. Way to go Dilek for putting that lying shill in his place.

He's the worst kind of shill, because he's deliberately preying on newbies. His comments are turned off because he knows experienced and knowledgeable detectorists will point out his misleading tests and lies.

Regarding Sid's video:

"Liam" from History Revisited had similar results with a 9" silver coin. That is, the Legend hit the coin "right out of the box", but the D2 missed it completely. It was only when the D2 was put into Deep HC mode that it could hit that coin. Thing is, the D2 could only hit it with the recovery speed and iron bias set very low (to increase depth). The Legend however, hit it even with a medium recovery speed and a high preset iron bias.
