Pocket Knife-in your pocket [Yes or No]

Clip knife, every day, always. Rotate just two right now, neither too fancy, an old Benchmade 940 and a newer 9400. It's the same blade on both, very utilitarian S30V steel Osbourne design. Deep hooks on both. 940 is lighter, slightly better balanced, IMO. If I was going to use one of them for an extended chore, the 940 would be my choice. But the 9400, being automatic, is just quicker when opening a box or bag of dog food and that's mostly the kind of stuff I used a pocket knife for every day.

Yes. Part of my EDC. Back in my retail days, I started carrying a slim, aluminum sliding boxknife everywhere, all the time. At some point muuuch later, I visited the Daisy Museum in Rogers Arkansas, and switched that over to a small "bone" handled pocket knife with their logo. Lost that, so I switched to a slim cheapie from Menards. It cuts, it doesn't break. I refuse to pay high dollar for one -- amazes me how proud some of these knife makers are for something so basic.

Also don't go anywhere without my flashlight -- barely bigger than a single AA battery and puts out 600+ lumens in "turbo" mode. Far cry from the 2-D cell I had as a kid!!!

Yep, an older guy needed to borrow it and laughed at how small it was. I asked were the fick is yours? He shut up especially when he seen it was sharp enough to shave with.

The best tool is the one you have with you when you need it...

Usually have something in the car. Used to have a small one on my key chain. As for needing it for protection I haven't run into the type that will jack open a coinstar, or that type, in years... If they start coming out of the woodwork I might have to reconsider.

:cool3: Steve, you're having a hard time letting that go. Besides, they probably carry a crowbar and bolt cutters.

I carry one every day. BUT, I had one taken once at a concert. The security people wouldn't let me keep it. I was not happy!

everyday, and I use it so often and sometimes with not so ideal materials that I am one of the rare people who actually wear through a knife, well the cheaper ones I did. I now have had a benchmade for like 3 years and the fancy steel seems to be holding up decently. It will need a complete rework of the blade profile soon though.
