Pocket Knife-in your pocket [Yes or No]

I carry one every day. BUT, I had one taken once at a concert. The security people wouldn't let me keep it. I was not happy!

That happened to me also and I was really angry. I was with my son-in-law going to a Phillies game and stadium security wouldn't let me in with it. It wasn't that big!

I now carry two penknives, a larger one with a clip and a smaller one for fine work.

I also frequently carry a small ION 100R rechargable cube bicycle light that I found while metal detecting at a mining camp at about 10,000' elevation, that was likely dropped by some mountain biker.

And they still won’t let you in.

Put away that sissy flashlight and get yourself an Arc-P.

Not familiar so I googled it...all I find is a decade old 1-AAA with what might have been considered decent output back then, but nothing to get excited about. Tried a 1-AAA for a while, but decided 1-AA wasn't any less comfortable in the pocket, and runtime is way longer. Please post a link to the Arc-P if I'm looking at the wrong one. Until then, sticking with my sissy flashlight. ;)

I'm just messing with ya. :cool3:

But yes, you found the correct flashlight. Back in the day, it was a legend when it came to keychain flashlights. Before using the Arc-P, I had gone through several keychain lights (Maglite, Streamlight, etc.) with none of them lasting more then a few years.

I've been using the same Arc-P flashlight on my keychain for the past 15 years. I started carrying it on my keychain back in 2006 and it's still going strong. It's amazing how much abuse items on a keychain will be subject to. So it's not the brightest flashlight, but it's among the most reliable and durable.

I Honestly can not remember when i did not carry a pocket knife. I have been carrying one for around 70 or more years. I feel naked when i do not have a pocket knife in my pocket.

Gotcha! For the longest time I had a 2-AA maglite on my key ring -- nothing else was bright enough to bother with IMO. I wore out the hole on the endcap that connects to the ring, but the flashlight still works today. Then modified a 1-AAA solitaire to use a 3? mm led (Maglite was so slow to adopt LED I thought they would go belly up) -- because I wasn't aware of anyone offering them yet -- worked but runtime was awful. A cheap 1-AA Coast, a cheap 1-AAA from China, a not so-cheap L3 L10C 1-AA with 4 modes, and now this Lumintop. ALL of them still work after years of duty each, banging around in my pocket. The 2-AA maglite is for sure my longevity winner -- probably a decade or more!

I've never carried one with me, nor do I actually own a pocket knife, now I think of it. I can see where one would be occasionally useful but not enough to add one to the collection of things I have to carry around every day.

I now carry a 1-AAA Maglite LED on my keychain in addition to the Arc-P. The former for its performance (but it's finicky) and the latter for its reliability.

"Two is one and one is none."

In my purse I carry a Swiss Army Classic SD. As a lightweight multi-tool, it's easy to take along, and comes in handy at times!

If you don,t have a gun on you, knife vs gun is still better than bare hands vs gun.

Yes, I carry the Smith & Wesson Oasis. :cool3:

I don't own a pocket knife. If I was in danger from some lowlife character, my only defense would be the White's Digmaster I use while detecting.

My leatherman is purely utilitarian, and dang a day doesn’t go by that I don't use it. The 9mm is for defense, hopefully never used.

I collect and carry Syderco knives which are the ones often shown in the movies.

I gave one (expensive) to my best friend. He first used it to cut bait while fishing. He put it on the side of his boat where it promptly slid overboard. I never forgave him.

This is just a thought, and one you've likely already considered, but do you know the area where it was lost? Perhaps you could try magnet fishing those waters (or detecting them, if possible).
