Great Choice!Thank you everyone for the replies.. I just ordered the X-Terra Pro.
I have been using my quest x10 pro for two years now. I have had about every brand over the last 40 years and I like this a lot. I prefer it to my Minelab vanquish. Just as deep, more settings, and lighter.I'm not seeing much info on the q35 looks like it recently came out.
Since they have similar feature try watching some videos and listen to the audio of both detectors and see if you prefer one over the other.
Also if you're going to be detecting beaches you might want to look into the Nokta Score or Double Score detectors, they're more money then what you requested but they're smf detectors and it will work better then a single frequency detector on a beach.
It's not a problem reading the numbers it gives offI bought an X-Terra Pro last week.
Took it back to the shop today and swapped it for a Nokta Score.
I had watched a lot of YouTube videos on the XTP and the vdi numbers seemed very erratic.
I was told lowering the sensitivity would calm it down. Went to a Lake Michigan today with it.
The machine finds metal. Finds small deep metal. But even with the sensitivity nearly halved the numbers were still erratic.
Just set up the Score and printed the manual. Seems very steady with coins in the yard, will try it the beach tomorrow

Hit a 1901 barber quarter with it today.
