The machine is back to what it used to be, hit a silver dime over MI6 pinpointer deep. Xy screen is accurate and my depth is back.

Interesting. I haven't been able to do much since my original post, but it's great to hear that your issue is resolved and it was not a user issue. At least with winter here I'll have time to maybe get my machine checked out. I'm convinced it was not working right.

It’s frustrating when you’re just trying to get information and everyone thinks you’re the problem. Hopefully you get some answers and back to normal

My detector will be back this Friday, they informed me of a bad circuit board in the coil

Sent mine in 2 weeks ago. They also replaced the coil for me. Glad to know it WAS the machine. Although I'm now kind of worried about future problems. I don't mistreat my gear. But for 2 coils that were working to go bad for no apparent reason? We'll see I guess.

I have 2 new permissions lined up when (real) spring gets here.

I wouldn't worry about it all. The XP DEUS II has very few issues overall. Sounds like you just got very unlucky. Congrats on having the best iron and trash-sniffing machine on the market!

I've had a rough year for detecting. Extreme drought in Southern Wisconsin and I went about 2 months with health issues. But I finally got around to updating my Deus 2 to version 1.1 about 3 weeks ago. I only got out twice about 2 hours each after the update. I noticed that all the coins I was finding were in the 2-4 inch deep range. So last week I buried a dime at about 7 1/2 inches in my backyard. When I tried to find it with the Deus 2 I could not get a signal. I tried the following programs with sensitivity at 97: General, Sensitive, Sensitive FT, Fast, Park, and Deep HC. Nothing. I attempted this on 3 different days, including after a light rain.

I didn't make any other adjustments or fine tuning because I expect a detector to find a 7 1/2 inch deep coin with a standard program. It shouldn't be an issue.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I buried a seated dime in my backyard at 6-61/2 inches. The Deus 2 struggled hitting it and so did my equinox. 2 years later it's a banging signal. I've found a lot of silver coins in hunted out parks. I never found those silvers with my equinox. The Deus 2 is doing something special.
