How many years in your job?

I've worked at my current job since 2012, and will probably retire there. I was born in April of '89, and the guy at the top of the seniority list started in March the same year  I've made it a good ways up that list, not really trying to start all over again. My only gripe is the commute. My shift starts at 4 AM, I need to leave the house by 3-315 AM the latest to get to work on time. A friend recently got a job working from home, now THAT I would not mind
I live 3 minutes from work in light traffic. If traffic is bad maybe 5 minutes. :D

I have also planned on the day I can no longer get out and swing a detector. I fear that day is coming much sooner than I expected. I can't see myself out lugging around an oxygen bottle, but I'll do what I must to detect as long as I can. But when that day comes, I'm ready.

AS my backup hobby, I have a recording studio and plan to finish some overdue songs I've been working on for years. I love flying RC (remote control) so I've got a DJI Mavic Air with the Fly More package waiting. I also have my coin ring factory. A desk in my hobby room with everything needed to make coin rings out of all the coins I've found over the years.

Coming up on 31 years as a television newscast director with occasional dabbling in sports directing, mostly hockey, football and basketball plus a daily lifestyle show). I have about 30,000 hours of live television under my belt. Sadly, TV pays ridiculously bad so retirement will be a tough battle but I have five house payments left so aggressive savings is next. I have a chance to take over a decent and successful family business but that's not the road I want to go down.

39 years as a full-time newspaper photographer, last 33 at the same paper.
Retired 11years ago and work part time mostly to have some involvement.
