Fisher Impulse AQ Limited Launch!

“Mysteriously quiet... Told ya... Send in your resume quick...”

There are currently 45 buyers on my list. No one who has asked to be added has been refused if they are located in the US or Canada. Because the current low production rate means that - in order to carry out my instructions to place these units with experienced and active beach hunters - I have asked for details of location and beach hunting activity.

Here is the sales flyer

Mark, Brncofan found a pristine PI Pro with a neutral buoyancy coil... he didn't find gold with it but two times I took it out I found 2 gold each hunt... I should have bought it when he offered it for sale still kicking myself in the ass for not pulling the trigger.. I got spoiled by OBN's Excal mods..
Craig, Sending you a pm...

I've got to admit Rick you are looking pretty good right now. Still some people are still throwing punches for some reason ... but Fisher, and you, have come through with the first units.
Good luck on the launch and congrats to the lucky few who get the chance to grab one

Obn

19 inches on a nickel , the next time I go to the beach I'm gonna try the Df on a nickel , thanks for posting the depth video bro . With a new weapon in your tool box , I predict a 200 plus gold ring 2020 year , waiting for version 2 , just bought 2 Penn International 6 - 50 W reels- 1200 clam's without a pole:shock: , the fishing supplies are pocket killers  , time to wait here, it's all good Joe. You are a perfect AQ tester & could aid Fisher on improvement advisement , hope they put some OBN secret sauce on the next version , happy hunting bro .:?::thumbsup::kingdances::dingding::dingding: PS TNSS thanks for posting Joe's You Tube AQ LIMITED video.

Still waiting for the GB/mute... Was a main selling point, something wrote about for a long time. Now it is about sheer depth.

As I said before, sample size too small for any impression. Dry/damp low mineralization sand shows one glimpse. Which is of no fault of the person testing. But it is not increasing performance once mineralization or any other variable is introduced.

More eyes that see it, more advertising/sales for him. More posts pushed to the top, more eyes. Should have realized that earlier... Got me on that one... Grrrr...

With me has nothing to do with throwing punches... I am not jumping on any bandwagon... In sales, you will always have the ones that will jump on board, look at the NOX, CTX or any other machine and its claims. You want the ones that are wary...

As I recall you were sending me numerous PM's with questions about the TDI, then the Beach-hunter and Pulse machines in general. I told you what I knew and personally experienced. Was all "hands on"...

If what you have seen outperforms what you own, jump all over it. What I have seen has not...

Rick is close enough to So. Cal beaches, he could easily go and test in mineralized or different situations. Could even be a tax write off for him...

Craig will look, I may actually have a complete outer box for the Barracuda. Will have to pressure test it. As I recall don't increase the battery power at all, it either gets real squirrely or pops something. Will have to dig onto my notes. May have the original schematics as well...

You are welcome Earl.
Btw,
Better start teaching your Lab to dig 19” deep holes if you get AQ unit. lol

Let me know I can send it out to you to repair, I believe all it needs is a on/off pot. Looks like the pot has internal water damage. The rest is very clean inside.

On the AQ, all I was interested in was Deep, I think Dew and others will confirm that. I will be trying out the disc mods in the next few weeks when needed, and try and do a video. But for some reason I love using all metal only.

I think you should give the AQ a shot, A good machine in the hands of a Experienced PI hunter would give all a greater understanding of how to use it at it's best. And all of your questions would be answered.

Let me know on Craigs machine..

Yes Joe .... that’s what ya wanted. Appears this machine suits you well in that respect. Get thing down and you will be plucking out the yellow gold. Going to be interesting to see what your year end totals are. Man with cold water just before 6 weeks of no one on the beach and honestly it’s hurting us with no flights. Pile on that sand and hunters board you really have to grind out there.

As I recall you were sending me numerous PM's with questions about the TDI,...[/QUOTE]
yes, I recall. thanks for the help on the coil. rarely if ever am I picking apart the guts. I haven't watched the videos so I don't know the performance level

The more I read from the pros , the more confused I get. But I do like the depth video. I know as of now , there is no perfect machine and bugs gotta be worked out. Just have to carry extra batteries I guess. But I also consider myself an experienced PI hunter. Maybe it's best to suck it up and get out and use one. Only way to truly learn is on the beach tinkering with it. IDK... why would they want all this info on locations , etc , in order to buy one ?

TNSS / Rick

Shogun is a Champion Line Chesapeake Bay Retrever , look up Captain Moe of Chester River , that's Shogun's grandfather , Shogun is bigger than him, Rick o well , I'm not an active or avid beach hunter , so I can wait for the upgraded version since your picky on certain hunters getting the 100 with a battery life of 3 1/2 hours  , I bet you will get thier , no need to push, not everyone is gonna give you a check , than wait , for me -once I pay , I best get a tracking # in couple of days, the waiting should have been OVER , now a list , , no hard feelings Rick , I might end up with version 2 , watch & see the results from the 100 guys & girls swinging the Limited, happy hunting.

different soil, different conditions etc. they probably want the units widely distributed... wouldn't do much good for feedback if 80% of the units ended up in FL

Off subject, Dew since the Depot closed I am a lot less aggressive about the hunting for some reason. All I want to do now is play around with the AQ in the water and make a killer battery for it.....I have come up with the perfect setup but it will have to wait till the AQ is out of warranty. No need to be hacking stuff up for what we have now works fine. ..The perfect setup would be changing shafts and making a drop in battery system like the MDT..using 4 26650 5500mAh batteries..... and it would run 8 hours. I wish I still had my old Eric Foster PP PI, it had the same set up but you used "D" batteries...and it was a discriminator PI!

Earl I think it would do great at that ship wreck beach! You get any storms we will have to meet..

Thanks Steve for the info you sent me when I was interested in the TDI

I have a good friends TDI BH here now with the 14.8 battery upgrade..And it's a good machine also. But I'm in love...Some reason the "AQ" has cast a spell on me! And I think the reason why it reminds me of the Excalibur in all metal mod, same characteristics..but on Steroids..

using the aq in all metal how would you compare it to the bh? Depth, feel of the coil, balance, etc.
if the all metal smokes the bh I might consider buying 1 down the line

Hey OBN - wait for the Full ON version after the LTD - it will have all that and you can sell your LTD for big bucks.

The drawback of course is that the fully developed (not Limited Edition) AQ will cost $2500 or so!! But it will have your battery solution!

Machine is very light I think, well balanced. Some,...... even Fisher says it has a couple weak points. I disagree other then the battery. Pinpointing once you have used it a few time is easy, In the water I have seen if you pump the coil you can center in on deep targets very easy. And pumping the coil brings in the faints in stronger...like the wiggle, wiggle of the BBS machines. The coils buoyancy is perfect in the water for me, it does not float but will slowly come up close to the surface in time if you let it set, so there is no holding it down. I've had it for about 3 weeks now, still learning..and I see it as a companion to the excalibur..the "AQ" is not the detector you would take to any beach but..... One you have a good idea what you are walking into ...... I see the Disc side of the machine as being a extra perk, its not perfect but I am impressed ..so far.

I think now after posting about having the "AQ" maybe I should have not let it out in so many places, my phone is constantly buzzing and dinging...emails and FB messages are like the old telephone switch boards....but I hope those that get it are as happy as I am..and as time goes along there will be others to share info ..so more info can be seen on Steves Forum for it easier to keep all in one spot.

I did test...on a US nickel.... the TDI got 15 /16 inch's on the same test (And Day) as the "AQ" got 19/20 . And the settings on the TDI were Hot, GB off, just like the "AQ" were Hot ..And these are stop for signals..ones you don't have to listen for the threshold change. I'll send you the video link. Let me know if I am wrong..

Side note I've done 3 different nickel test with the "AQ" ....2 were with buried nickels on yard sticks, and one with the pvc ..different beach's.. One tested 17+, other was 18+, then the last I did the PVC for it was easier to see how deep it was going to go, but I ran out of tube for it went deeper then the 20 inch PVC pipe. I only tested the TDI 14.8 BH once on the nickels..

And those were the same numbers I seen posted by Tony over on Steve's forum also so I know I was in the ball park on the TDI BH..

Is it possible to see a video including these tests ? #1- a nickel in mineralized sand. #2- a gold ring in mineralized sand. #3- a gold ring with rusty nails , mineralized sand , at depth ???

I'll check the link you sent later to.ight when I get a chance. do you think if the bh were running at 16v or 15.8 it would close the gap? What is the depth of the excal all metal modded out?
thanks
