Hi y'all! OK, so I know I am vacillating here, but I am torn between these two machines. I was originally looking at getting an MXT Pro but a buddy has an E-Trac and LOVES it. I plan to do mostly Relic Hunting with it. I am a 3 year beach and water hunter, I consider myself a "Knowledgeable Veteran" (but not an EXPERT) in beach and water hunting with over 1100 hours doing that.

I have all the gear I need to do the beach and water, so the next machine will see mostly land use here in NW Florida, Louisiana Georgia, and Lower Alabama.

So, that said, I guess I would be considered a NOVICE Relic Hunter. I guess when relic hunting I don't want to pass up Iron objects, which negates the one real main plus that the E-Trac has over the MXT, that being the TTF capability, right?

I'd love to hear from especially those who have or have had BOTH machines and what you guys think. Price doesn't matter at this point, even though I am poor and have to finance the purchase with beach Gold :workforgold: , if I decide on the more expensive one, then I'll find a way to get it. I'm looking for strictly a technical comparison.

And, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, try to keep it positive, don't just slam one machine as being "JUNK"
or tell me that one has better Customer Service over the other...

Thanks!

For relic hunting

A F75se, in my opinion, is at the top, I have the e-trac , and own Whites, you cant go wrong, comes with the 11dd and 5dd, happy hunting Earl make sure to get the se or ltd with BOOST & CACHE modes

Yep

Relic hunting, that is the ticket, single freq set at 13khz , with boost, fast recovery, and a 5 year warranty, light , you will like it, takes time to learn, but a relic hunter must have machine at 1099.00 , happy hunting Earl

F75 ltd. Ive used explorers and sovs for relic hunting but the f75 is much better suited for relic hunting IMO.

MXT can take a little getting used to. Once you get used to it, it will likely do what you want it to do. Just don't get it for using at the beach. Some guys do use them. But don't know what they are missing:lol:

Successful relic hunting demands you need to detect between thick carpets of nails. Relic hunting also involves digging iron relics. To do both you need full iron range discrimination and fast recovery speed. That means F-75 SE or T2 SE

Search modes on F75LTD are
Discrimination
· Static - All Metal
· Motion - All Metal
· Pinpoint
· Cache Mode

Search modes on T2SE are
· All Metal
· Discrimination
· Cache Mode

F75ltd number of audio tones 65
T2SE number of audio tones 6

F75 LTD will retain your settings when turned off

T2SE will need to be reset each time you turn it on

The F75 has a back light also.

The iron disc is expanded on the T2, from 1-40 vs 1-15 on the F75

the F75's iron Disc range is more than ample to satisfy a die-hard relic hunter.

I myself have used and owner all mentioned and for me it's the ET all the way. With a wide open screen and TTF the ETrac is killer in the woods or anywhere else relic hunting. There's lots of coil options and the CoilTek 5x10 Joey works great getting into tight spots. The ETrac go's plenty deep, runs nice and stable without all the chatter. Once you learn its language you will hardly ever get fooled by those Iron wrap a rounds and dig only the good stuff.

F75se or T2se and wanna go with something simple that will find u just as much for lots cheaper the At Pro.
