Just came back from Publix and all the bottled water was GONE. It's like a hurricane is approaching.

Curious to see how many people will be at the beach this weekend.

Yeah, overhere also.
Went from an area to countrywide. Countrywide panicked as result.

Meanwhile my government already stated there will not be any problems as there are more then enough supplies.
This will take a month or one and a half. I wouldn't know how i could prep enough supply for my family with kids or were te put it, meanwhile keeping it fresh.

I live in the centre were it started in my country some time/weeks ago, and still food available in the supermarkets. We still shop as usual. All familiy members still work and go to school, as most neighbours and people around us still do. The effect looks like the yearly cold or flu but some more fanatic.
Those having a 'cold' are asked to stay at home to recover from the 'common cold' as each year. Some receive there groceries delivered at home, were others shop themselves.
These measures (and such panic reactions) effects society and economy more then the virus itself does (although still very sad and bad for the dead victims of course).

We know some people who are really scared. But those have good reasons for that, and handle it without panic.

The Zombies are next...or are they already here?! :D

Well, since you mentioned them

EDIT TO ADD: This is not meant to infer that we should not give the Coronavirus the precautions it deserves, but while we are taking necessary precautions we can still keep our sense of humor and not panic.

3rd case confirmed in Michigan. Down in Scuba Detective's county. At least that's all they know of. I have been told that alot of people are letting this virus bring out the ignorance in themselves fighting at stores over soaps and other supplies and stores are rationing things . Im so glad to be back up in the U.P .

My agency has made me go over all of my employees telework agreements and we are told to take lap tops home every evening in case the gov shuts down (again) at any time even though I cant cruise timber from home haha. Wonder if I will be on another forced 5 week vacation.

The whole state is literally shutting down. I have never seen anything like it in my life. The thing is I dont want to get the virus but am not afraid of it. Everybody in my family is healthy and has just as much chance with the virus as the common cold for getting really sick. So what gives? I mean the schools are literally shutting down.

"That being said, we have made the difficult decision to close all Manchester Public Schools indefinitely effective Monday, March 16, 2020."

Manchester is a town of about 50,000 people and they are the only ones in the state.

I mean !!!?

My town has not shut down school yet but its coming. All gatherings of more than 100 people (I think) are banned in the state. All sports and all events have been canceled state wide.
Every store is out of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and there is now a run on food.

I'm more afraid of the human response than the virus. Unless they know something I dont.

Im not trying to alarm people. I work for the town and was out and about all day. Just telling you what I see and trying to back it up with links.

toilet paper shortage

This photo could cause one to think that consuming Spam could mean endless trips to the toilet .

Actually my wife had me go out and get 12 bundles of it today (Rural King a farm store had plenty on hand.), I am in Florida right now and she is back in Missouri. She is down to a few rolls at home so part is for our daughters place in Florida and part to take back to Missouri. Was lucky to find some baby wipes today at Aldi for the grand daughter, Even diapers are being limited by Costco to 2 boxes per family . Wonder what will be horded next?

If past track records mean anything march 20 or 21 will be a very significant day. The point of no return... at least for a while.
Might be wise to keep a stack of cash, silver coins, etc at home incase the banks decide to not open on the following Monday
Before I was on level 4 lockdown I had to search for a bank machine that still had cash in it.

Can anyone explane me, as i don't understand something?

America locked down for airplanes from europe.
So a european in my country who hardly left his home, or even was in quarantain, and is no risk can not fly to America.
But an American who partied day and night last month in my country (visiting coffee shops? Red light district? Bars?) can fly home?
What's the difference then in contamination risk? I'm lost.
