Calabash is back!

I love this site! You just never can predict the direction that any thread will take in this forum. This thread started as Calabashing,
then to nudist metal detecting and then to ejection of the nudist/porn people by the admins. :police::spaman:
I think we should start talking about Fishing Kayaks, Blue crabbing and Motorcycles. Yes?

Those topics have already been covered

Isn't there a search for a hunting buddy section ? It's really for hook-ups.🤣

That would be one of the 10 KOBmandments  We should have directed the nudist couple Calabash's way, as a token of our appreciation for all the kind words he has said about us in the past :giggle:
A nude couple??!!
I live near a nudist colony. The other day someone poked a hole in the fence. No worries, the police are looking into it

You should be happy I changed the direction of who I banned for being a troll after we gave him time out after we asked him to dial back his bashing of detectors, its in our rules detector bashing is not allowed. I assumed from your popcorn posts you were a follower of his... He thought he was above the rules... he found out differently...

Felix has a good story about being in his kayak going down a river infested with alligators in FL while out camping and as he went in the water they slid down the banks looking for an easy meal...

Dead wrong Bud! The popcorn posts were for the hilarious posts in the thread. :aok:
Alligators and Kayaks, not good bedfellows!! :yikes:
Blue crabbing with my Kayak in Old Lyme today. :pirate:
Cool... I used to do that on the Cape and scallop as well in Waquoit bay in Mashpee, my uncle had a small house up there... scalloping was my favorite, I went for bluecrabs when I was bored lol...

I remember blue crabbing off the bridge embankments down here in St. Pete as a young boy in the 60's. All that my parents required was a bucket, a package of chicken necks, some string, and a long handle net. There are not near the same amount of crabs in our waters now days.

Story about blue crabs in the Chesapeake bay. In the 80s a friend of mine was bottle hunting on the shore near Hanover street bridge in Baltimore. While there he seen the recovery of a dead body. As they pulled the body, he said it was covered with crabs lunching out, what really set him back was the body's face was Xxxxxx.... since that moment he's never ate another crab. :back2topic::gottaluv:

Crabs and lobsters are scavengers they eat dead stuff... When I lobstered years ago other lobsterman called them the rats of the sea...

Ahh, but lobsters and crabs are a great excuse to pig out on butter.

I can't even look at a lobster anymore without getting sick to my stomach... when I was lobstering I couldn't sell the culls so they went home with me... I was getting so many I had to buy a chest freezer for the meat, we would eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner.. I never will eat one again.. the restaurants and fish markets I sold to would only buy the 2 claw lobsters... I will eat King Crab but I don't use butter on crabs its rich enough without butter... I want to taste what I am eating.. I do same thing with fish..

All this lobster/crab talk reminded me of one of the best meals I ever had. We became close to WWII Navy vet who had privileges at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey. Once a month they would have fresh Alaskan King Crab flown in for a Crab Feed and we got invited. Best damn crab I ever had and I was stationed in the Aleutians! Also I grew up here in Santa Cruz on fresh local crab.

Same here! Worked lobster boats every summer in my teens while we stayed in Point Judith RI. Boat Captain told us to take the culls of the day's catch every day. For 8 entire summers, like you, lobster for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I haven't had one since and that was 46 years ago. Crabs are a different story. :eat2:
