I heard the group was being controlled.
I heard everyone in Tennessee is being controlled by alien lizard people.

You got that right!!! Real real small. Imagine bigger Can slaw affects. I used scissors and cut real small triangle off of mountain dew aluminum can. That is thin aluminum. It could be thicker, be smaller and have same affect maybe.
Will it be a Legend? Probably not, unless another update magically address's these known issues!
Please list all of these "known issues", and I'll address them one by one.
Go ahead. I dare you .
I take what Cfmct said above seriously. However, I am done with this subject and maybe this forum too. If this post gets me banned, that's fine with me.
For you Legend owners that are kicking and screaming and crying over in the corner because you got snookered into buying a piece of junk like the Legend which won't find anything because it can't unmask anything in modern aluminum and steel trash, maybe this photo will make you feel a little better. This is not bragging or anything like it. I am just a guy that loves to metal detect, I happen to live in a very big urban area with lots of targets and I have the time and desire to go hunt.
There are no pennies in that pile of US modern clad, and that is about half of the coffee can which is the second coffee can that I have filled with US modern clad using the Legend. The zinc and copper pennies are in other cans. I keep the finds from different detectors separate including jewelry. That is all gold and silver jewelry, a few choice coins (for my area anyway) and a couple of relics.
Absolutely all of these things which the Legend can't unmask were found using Park M1 (stinks according to some testers) in modern trashed parks and open areas in the last four months.
Believe it or not. I don't care. I will just cash them in and be happy.
TNS,
I went on a short 1 hour hunt today to test MW in a different location.
MW ground balanced to it's maximum of 20
MW was quieter in the heavy emi than M1
MW showed no depth difference compared to M1
Of the 4 clad I dug up, 2 were by their lonesome and ID'd the same in MW and M1. The two other pennies had trash in the same detection field. MW ID'd the pennies correctly, M1 allowed the penny ID to be dragged down to the low 20's.
Don't let that get to your ego, because most of what you post about the Legend is meaningless crapola, and it's still highly questionable that you even discovered MW's outstanding unmasking performance.
You have a good evening
You aren't going to be winning an argument dealing with a couple people on here, even if you are right. Keep in mind some people use way too many metal detectors to ever figure any one of them out. The fact that Nokta got a couple dudes p'oed early on weighs into all this nonsense. You say something about a Deus ll having issues and these two individuals blame the user.
Nokta pissed off a lot of people when they introduced the Simplex. The Simplex is a firecracker of a detector, submersible, and sells at a rock bottom price for what you get. Not long after it began getting into the hands of users, the Simplex Facebook pages were inundated with Minelab fanboys trying to spread lies about the Simplex, and doing everything they could to bash the Simplex.
My, my. How history repeats itself, because almost the exact same thing happened when Nokta introduced the Legend. I say "almost", because the only difference this time, is it's not just Minelab fanboys and trolls doing everything they can to bash the Legend, it's also XP fanboys.
BTW- It's obvious that I'm very impressed with Nokta Makro. However, I am not a Nokta fanboy. I own and/or have used many detectors from many companies, and love them all (including my Vanquish 440). I despise fanboys.
What some of you recent posters above me said I agree with points you all make. The thing that kinda irks me the most is , does this really have to happen. Don't the manufacturer's have some reason to blame ? I have said this for awile. Why aren't they doing enough of their own testing BEFORE it is released to the public ? I get that we all have different terrain , soil , sand , salt all over the world. But why couldn't all these guys put some test units in the hands of say 20 people all over the world , qualified enough to do them properly for like 3 months. Therefore working out the majority of bugs before a public release. Maybe they do and I don't know it. Why does the public have to be the testing Guinea Pigs ? I want to buy a new machine , do a few simple adjustments , hunt and enjoy myself. Harley noticed some 30+ Nokta updates already. This is ridiculous to me if they tested enough themselves before release. So I can't really blame some guys like TNSS who do all these crazy tests , seems like a hobby in and of itself , right or wrong on how they do it. But this IMO falls squarely on the manufacturer's....all of them.
People are impatient KOB... when they hear about a new detector they want it right away and maybe the manufacturer's listen and throw it out there before its fully tested to get the chinks out...
TNS,
Can you state concisely, and in one sentence, how you found out about MW's incredible unmasking abilities?
I think you might have tried to do so previously, but it was convoluted word salad.
I was a big critic before xmas when the release date came and went and fell back on that often. I think it was about 2 or 3 months later the release finally came. Dilek did apologize , but is hard to overcome for guys like me. And now I look at all the updates. I even joined a FB Legend page. When I posted this , I was just slaughtered on there for bringing this up. I didn't last long as I quit that group , knowing it was not the place for me. I will not be apart of any socialist , dictator run type forum. I still think the Legend could be a great machine. But will have to wait longer unfortunately to see how it plays out.Indeed. There was a lot of customer pressure.
Following the pre-orders of the Legend. Dilek made the mistake of stating a ship date, but for whatever reason, they weren't able to ship on that date. A lot of people who pre-ordered, were extremely pissed off, and believe me, they let Dilek know they were pissed off. Nokta was being severely pressured to ship the Legend. They caved to the pressure, but they shouldn't have. In subsequent videos, Dilek has said many times, that she made a huge mistake by stating a ship date, and she will never again state a ship date for future products...and she hasn't despite being pressured to state a ship date for the pairable Legend pinpointer, and the 9x5 coil.

All Nokta needs to do is modify the MW program slightly, so that it runs in Field and Park. They probably don't even have to create a new SMF mode. I suspect they could integrate the MW program right into M1. If Nokta can pull that off, then the Legend will likely be second to none for unmasking the goodies amongst the trash. The only possible challenger in that regard, might be the D2.
