Its not just Youtube and not just him. Go look at some of the threads in a couple of the categories... They are flooded with videos posted from 1 guy.

Lots of newbies check this site before buying a new detector.. and what do they see??? 10000 videos of 1 detector posted by 1 guy. He has been, for the most part, spamming this site and advertising for "his" brand.

I have posted on this forum about other detector models besides Deus 2.
Namely, Deus 1, Nokta Impact and yes even the mighty Equinox and Etrac.
I follow the rules of the forum as far as the you tubes. My you tubes contain no vulgar language either. They are as honest and fair as I can make them. I show detector behavior tendency on different setups. Folks can elect to watch if they want. Up to them.

You seem to give individuals little credit for having any sense of their own. Can’t they make their own decisions whether to watch or not.

Anyone who wishes to take the same model and do their own video to indeed challenge my results for being flawed or dishonest. Have a ball. I’ll watch. I will even redo a test if a person wants. As long as they are sincere.

Who do you want to show and talk about a detector model.
You think Xp is going to show Deus 2?
I paid for my unit.
And I share info using my time and my expense.
The thread seems to be getting hits. So someone is watching.
Even nonmembers too maybe.

I also post commentary based on my experiences with the different units.
And I will try to answer questions for folks too.

I have no brand.
I have what I have and they are listed in my signature block. All very good detectors too. And I say as much in some of my videos.

Steve, if it bothers you that much that 1 guys posts so much information on the forum, then put him on ignore and move on. You don't need to call him a spammer, that is for FMDF's management to decide. And, he has posted videos on other brands as well.

Even on the ignore list, whenever he is quoted I have to see the 30 links to youtube.
 
You guys must get really irritated when you call someone and they don't answer. How DARE someone have a phone and choose not to answer it. I swear they should make a LAW!!!!!!:laughing: :heartylaugh:

Even though I don't always agree I respect the owners right to run their forum however they wish. They have rules in place that are fair I believe (And that we can all go read). If we don't like something it's our job to avoid, ignore, stop looking at it. If we feel something is really wrong there are ways to contact Moderators and Administrators. This idea that the rules should be changed for just a few is getting old. Like I said, I don't always agree but I think this forum has a lot of people that work hard trying to make sure people here are not getting ripped off and looking out for those they may not even like so much. I think we all should give them some credit and quit Nit picking every little thing we don't like about someone else's right to free speech. There are many times I read a thread and get nothing from it but there was no promise when I came here that every thread was going to be Valuable to me.

I used to read pretty much everything here. Not so much anymore with all the Drama. But that isn't the fault of the Forum or the officials here. I know how to not click on something and my back button is top notch.
 
This is totally just my opinion.

tnsharpshooter has his own YouTube channel. It is well established. He says he posts them here to help others. In the process of helping others he is also helping himself and his channel..........I do not think that is just helping others.

Most of us on here and other forums know about his YouTube channel and can go there and watch his videos anytime we want. Why does he get to "advertise/promote" his channel on this forum?

That is a very good question!

He has toned it down lately to his thread. Before he was everywhere and it was ok for him to do that.

Now others took over “all about detectors” and it’s wrong.

None of this would have happened if non members content was not allowed.

TN has been doing good on subs since this all started. He is over 1,000 now and gained a bunch.

I agree. In fact, there is one mod on here, that absolutely loves deleting some of my responses. Citing politics or conspiracy.. he picks and chooses and the rules bend for whichever way suits him best.
The question is when does free speech turn into advertising or spamming? is dropping 84 links to YouTube with a 1 sentence description or no description at all considered free speech? under these rules all the sponsors and advertisers should cancel.. and just open new threads with links to a short video with their products and what they offer.

Yep.

The occasional video isn't the issue (from anyone other than banned members), but the non-stop promotion of ones channel and videos is spam/advertising.

Can't imaging being a Dealer Sponsor here, paying money to advertise, then seeing someone getting it free.

Again, this was intentional, and they're both getting a good chuckle over it, I'm sure. The fact this forum sets itself apart from others is fine, and I appreciate that, but not allowing the incessant spamming of ones channel certainly doesn't mean you're 'just like the rest of them".

Stop assuming people are so inept, people know how youtube works. If they want to see all the videos of a certain channel, bookmark it. How hard is it? We don't need it spammed here to find it.

Bro....gonna just have to be a bit more patient. WE have known what's going on for quite a while now. They were hoping it was just going to fade away. Now they see what happens when no action is taken. They are working on it. There is no way they are going to let 1 guy alienate so many people on here who initiated all this havoc. That would fly in the face of common sense. And these mods are no dummies.

I have to say, I pre-ordered the Legend before the Youtube bashing began.
I almost cancelled it when I heard the bashing begin but I decided to trust Nokta.

I am so glad I didn't buy into this garbage because the Legend saved me hundreds of dollars and is a great detector.

Had I been on these forums then, and I wasn't really, I probably would have cancelled and got a D2. So what these videos does is definitely going to influence consumers. Why would these videos relentlessly keep popping up? What is the point? To influence consumers. Not to educate consumers, to influence them.

That being said, Lab Coat Croc guy's videos are so boring and even his digs are cringey. I watched him diving with the legend and it was the worst dive video I have ever seen.

He is benefiting from bashing the Legend. Plain and simple. Is XP involved? Well, I bet they are watching this stuff as closely as Nokta is, they would be foolish not to. Why they aren't as involved as Dilek, well, that speaks volumes too.

XP sent him a D2 and he brags about spending his own moneee on 2 legends....

If I got a free D2 I would still buy a Legend too. Because it is awesome. lol.

Anyway, all that matters is what you have in your bag at the end of the day. What's in Calabashes bag? A whole lotta HooDooPooPoo!
