Xtreme Titanium Scoop Fail (update 12/8)

picks 2 and 3 out of the six are not grinded , they show the lip metal overflow curl. picks 1 , 4,5,6, are the grind kob- job that's with my new high depth screen, and reader's on , cool Craig what's John's screen name :?:

Are you nutz ? Dude...you are gonna stroke out. I hope not. So basically you are saying I grinded 1 side ? Now why would I do that. These pics were all taken at the same time. Do you know why John made it right ? BECAUSE HE'S SUPPOSED TO ! If he wants to stay in business and back his warranty. You Earl , talk like this is unusual , rare. I sure hope not , for his other customers sake. But you say I'm the 1st in 3 years šŸ¤£. Remember when you found a chain you were all proud of ? Convinced it was real solid gold ? Only to have your dreams crushed. It sure took awile for you to believe what we were all telling you. Same thing here. Look at the facts , what has been presented here , and common sense. Ok...forget about common sense šŸ¤£. You must still be shattered over that chain. I pray you get well soon...

mmm

OK , your the boss, it's between John and Kob, and nobody is allowed to comment , and or give there own opinion, funny 4 pages , if it is true , John signed up tonight , IF IT IS WARE , why did he continued to use the scoop- till beyond repair , as in picks 2 & 3 if he sent it in than, warranty repair , and or new scoop without question , before posting a thread don't purchase a titanium x3 scoop before sending it in . THIS only would hurt someone's business in my opinion before the manufacturer has a chance to make thing's wright, now if you can't see my point of view , i rest my opinion , but i don't think i will see John on here  have a nice night Craig , ill check back in a week , if not everyone have a nice Christmas .:nothingtoadd::santa: PS i friended him , if it is John , glad to have him as a member here, will se if he chimes in. :heybud:

I know exactly what you are saying and that's ok. Myself and the general population don't subscribe to that train of thought. Look at it this way Surfy. Take any product. Let's say a car. Many will buy the new Corvette. Many are doing reviews and reports on their experiences , pros and cons. Something goes wrong with it , but is still driveable. Your thinking about buying one. Your doing all sorts of research on your new Corvette. Wouldn't you want as much information about it , good and bad before you purchase ? Regardless of the fact if it has been serviced or not ? Under warranty ? Information Surfy , is the most valuable commodity in the world. Again , take any consumer product. Pretty much the same thing. A scoop is no different. It had a warranty and that warranty was exercised as it should. John knows this and made good. So Surfy... merry xmas !

I cant see any grinding marks, that looks natural IMO. Sounds like someone is making a killing on titanium scoops, that are not being heat treated correctly after production. Which probably means ALL of them were not heat treated correctly. I'd be pretty pissed too, drop 600$ on a scoop, have it split right down the middle, in only 6 months?!?! Glad he made it right though, as he should have to begin with, minus all the drama... thanks for the update KOB

Wow,wow, wow, LOL ! Haven't been over here in quite some time but see Surf Master is still up to his old ways. Give him something for free and let the positive reviews begin.

Earl... anyone is allowed to have an opinion here... just because someone thinks its was ground down does not make it so...

if KOB chose to use it a little while longer while John and him discussed this and that caused more damage as you posted that would be a red flag for me that this product will not hold up to those of us who are hard hunters...

John makes a good product... I tested one of his stainless scoops.

Companies that build metal detectors read these forums to see what the customer is saying about their product and any short falls they may have... then try to rectify them.. we have seen this with upgrades.. so KOB bringing this to the attention of many is what the forum is for...

KOB is allowed what he posted no where is it bashing... its called constructive dialog about dealers and/or products is allowed...

This is part of what I love about the friendly forums, censorship and shills have no place in a civil discussion such as this.

You are definitely good for a few laffs Surfy ! For the life of me , why do you call yourself Surfmaster ??? ....about my hunts : I hunt 2-3x a week. Sometimes 4-5 if it's good out. My hunts are anywhere from 4-8 hours each. Sometimes I barely get any targets. Other times I'm a digging fool. Have some pics on this forum of what type of sand I dig in. The 1st 4 months , I used this scoop exclusively. Then alternated with another scoop as I noticed it wearing down. I wish I had taken a picture of when I 1st got it. Looking at it head on from the tip , it appeared to be thinner and then flare a bit thicker towards the sides of the bucket. Kinda odd. I do miss the lightweight of the titanium. But mine was not going to last very long. Believe my review folks. For it is accurate and true.
