The update you posted kind of left me ----- , all this crying with member's guessing now , no details , on what happened to the Titanium scoop , so your happy with a handle now , no titanium scoop, and cash back , I don't understand the reason for this thread if your not going to be transparent on the result's, incomplete BS

No , I'm not scoop less. Typically have 2-3. The CF shaft has been on another scoop. Your head can spin on that one. He 1st said that this is not a warranty issue ! He also had attempted to repair the scoop. I have a picture and it is god -awful. That wasn't going to happen. There are a few other details I choose to leave out , only to be fair to him. So Earl , you go ahead and keep buying scoops. Good luck. The whole purpose of this thread was to show my experience with this $600 scoop and to warn others. Maybe it was a fluke , idk. You saw the pics , but obviously didn't comprehend all the other written posts. Many views and responses on this thread. The #s don't lie Surfy. Funny how YOU can't answer a few basic questions , yet you don't understand the answers !!! Bottomline: THE KOB is happy with the outcome.

Any scoop can be damaged if miss treated, you stated you wanted 2- SS scoop's, in exchange, the truth is he only had one to offer you at the time plus money back, not that he wouldn't do it, 2nd it's not a warranty issue when you grind the scoop down yourself trying to repair it cause you did abuse the scoop, you send the scoop back just like you damaged it, you grinded to much off the end for repair. He gave you your money back ,for a scoop you grinded down beyond repair, and in your thread opener , it's clear you tell everyone not to buy his titanium scoops, from your picks posted which were sent to him , it's clear that you took it upon yourself and tried to repair it , beyond repair, and failed , John gives your money back even though you altered the scoop, in which would VOID any warranty , and still bash the manufacturer , don't worry Kob T-rex, Stavr, RTG and Stealth are all available in the future for you to purchase , happy hunting Ps check your last couple posts , my spelling is better than yours

KOB is allowed what he posted no where is it bashing... its called constructive dialog about dealers and/or products is allowed...

In addition John said Kob was the only person in 3 year's in business, that he seen an issue like this to one of his titanium scoop's , one other guy in Ca. claimed he got his titanium scoop stolen , to show what kind of manufacturer we have here > John sent him another scoop free , SO guess what , im not the only person in the USA that got a free scoop , One year ya just gotta let that go

Surfy , you really need to go back and read every post in this thread. I mean seriously. Do you really think I would take a grinder to a scoop I paid good money for , before I send it in ? That doesn't make sense. And if it doesn't make sense , it's not true. At least that's what a judge would tell you. That scoop was worn from digging in sand on So.Cal beaches. I did not abuse it. Look at the 1000s of posts regarding the Nox and its issues. Many of which are being discussed before being sent back to the manufacturer. This not only helps people making a decision on whether to purchase one , but also Minelab so they can make improvements and be prepared.

Now what are you judging here exactly , as it appears that this manufacturer went out of his way , plus some, even though Kob voided the warranty tring to repair and grid down the scoop himself ? Sounds like Earl , you are talking to John. For there are details that only he and I know , some that I chose to leave out. But you are forgetting something very important in my initial post ( regarding a claim you say has never happened in 3 years till I came along). That a text was sent ( by mistake) admitting that there are others. Come on Earl. Also don't forget: I talked up a positive storm for Xtreme in prior topics regarding scoops. I still like his SS scoop. But yes , I would NOT recommend the titanium scoop based on what I want through. Look at the Stavr posts. This guy knows what he is talking about regarding titanium and metallurgy.

I will keep it civil, what i disagree with is in your 1st post, before sending the scoop back, your telling everyone not to buy a titanium x3 scoop, im going to send it back in a couple day's, you didn't give him a chance to make thing's wright, jumping the gun . You made me go back and look at the picture's of the scoop where are the grind marks... I don't see any... I see wear from digging but nothing more..

UPDATE 12-8-20.
So...went back and forth a bit with John. A bit of craziness. Won't go into all the details , but here are a few. I wanted 2 SS scoop buckets , which he wouldn't do. I had only sent my titanium scoop back , kept the CF. I know 1st hand now shipping a return is kinda expensive. Well bottomline is he refunded my $ on the scoop , minus the shipping. And I got the shaft ! (Lol). I'm glad it's finally over and am happy now. I wish you all luck on those who bought the titanium scoop. It just wasn't meant to be....

Thanks for the update and Glad it's over for you. Just another distraction in life all of us would rather not have to deal with. Be Safe Mr KOB..

So you are saying the wear is ground.. I don't believe it... KOB hunts all the time almost every day for hours... sand and gravel will wear a scoop down...

This is between KOB and John you are not his spokesperson.

I have the same features on my computer its not grind marks its wear from use.
