Show me your injuns

I have dug hundreds of Indians, but none made me smile more than this one.

Here are my only 3 IHP. I find a ton of wheats but not many indians.

Sad but true

For 5 years I have been vainly hunting for an Indian Head with no success. Recently I met a woman who wants to learn to metal detect and asked for a short demonstration. I grabbed a machine and went to her curbstrip. I warned her if I was lucky I might find a penny or two. Almost immediately I get a shallow penny signal against the sidewalk. I scrape away a bit of sand and handed her the penny telling her it was her first "treasure"

She looked at it and said, "Cool! 1887!"

I said " You mean 1997!"

She said " And the back says One Cent!"

I said, "GIVE ME THAT THING!"

Yep. Found my first IH and gave it away.

Back in the 80's when I hunted with a Whites 6000D I pulled seven IHP's from one hole hunting where a one room school had been.
Started back in the hobby recently and been hitting three different one room school locations pretty hard and haven't found any coins.
Not giving up tho but may have to wait till winter and the weeds and grasses have dwindled down. Or might just have to take my mower and knock them down.

I've only found 5 so far but each one has been like a little present coming from the ground. :) My ground is not kind to coins where I live! 1906, 1903, 1898, 1893 and 1908 (not an S).

My last two in real poor shape. To tell the truth I was more interested in the barber dime that I found at the same time. It was in bad shape too.

Found my first Indian last weekend! Woohoo! Got my hunt video up on the YousTubes.

Just took my Deus out for the first real hunt a couple days ago. Went to one of my old home sites I have hammered with my Patriot and managed to pull these out of the iron.
