She's standing , and she's exposed

Last week I found a ‘36 along with a ‘23 Merc. Both were filthy and stained and tarnished. I wet each coin and put baking soda on it and gently rubbed with my fingers. Rinse and repeat. The coin must stay wet.
Wish I could show it. The ‘36 is magnificent

Woooow! 1917s. That is awesome. Right at the top of my list is the '17 (any SLQ, but '17 is THE one for me) Soooo cool! Congratulations, that is fantastic. [emoji106]

Very nice find...I've only found one stander, and no date :(

Quick question: What is that "M" mark on the fourth photo? Just to the right of the star (right hand side) above the date?

That’s an amazing find, would be sweet if the obverse was as well defined as the obverse. But no doubt a treasured find!!

Slq

Way to go. I too liked the story of the design change, so much so, back maybe 7 or 8 years ago, I bought one on ebay for $100.00. Of coarse it was in great condition and you can actually see her nipple. And the very first SLQ I detected, was the 1917 that looked like it was dropped when it was new. Only difference, it is the type II. I believe yours has the "S" mint mark. Two inches down, next to a curb. I find good coins next to curbs, but usally deeper than 2 inches. Well, congrates, that's a great coin you dug. I think now your due for an 1816 SLQ. Good luck.
HH everyone

Great "reveal" photos and story line. However, I have a few problems with this post :

1) We do not allow our key-date S mint coins to go east of the Mississippi. Please kindly mail that back to me (you pay postage).

2) You should not be posting sensual racy photos (exposed body parts) on a family friendly forum like this. Tsk tsk

Ctx

Super find! What were you swinging? The CTX?

Yeah I've barely touched another detector since 2014. I do have an AT Pro and
I did test drive a Deus and an Equinox very briefly. The CTX is so deadly accurate and so deep I'd hate to change machines....
I do feel however that mine may be getting a bit old....Sometimes I feel like I don't come away with any deep targets on my hunts .....:?:
I did however snag a couple Barber dimes in the 6-7 range that were a little on the light side.....and extremely dry ground......
Anyway,
This CTX has a ton of miles on it, but probably gonna hang on to her till I see another Minelab that can prove to be an improvement on it....
