Quitting this hobby

We just had a baby as well. Don't sell your equipment you will regret it because I did the exact same thing and I regretted it many times. Sure you will have less time to MD but taking time out for something you enjoy is a good thing as long as its not an obsession.

I ended up buying more gear and loosing money. dont do what i did :

I have 4 kids youngest is ten. Even so I would be kinda go nuts without a detector. Best to spend all your time with family like you said. Maybe you could store it in the attic? In about 15 years or so you will get back into it.

Well y'all have successfully talked me out of selling. You made some very good points for me to think about. The money is not a have to right now, time was the major factor. I guess there is no harm in the at pro sitting in the closet for a couple years. Thanks again and I'll be back.
