OAK ISLAND

Correct me if I'm wrong but........If someone was going to dig 100' in the ground to bury a treasure, why the HELL would they travel half way around the world to do it. Seems to me you could do that in many locations around the world without hauling all that equipment so far. I know, I know......Some will say they didn't intend on digging that deep when they went there. Ok, if that is true then why hasn't anyone recovered anything they used to dig with?

The answer is they didn't, they won't, they can't because it never was. I have seen some stories that are considered wild conspiracy theories that have a whole lot more truth and evidence to back them than this garbage. Those are just the FACTS.
I guess you never saw Monty Python's Yellow Beard.. These pirates go to extreme lengths.

Case and Point !

Each time I post one of these videos about the show it amazes me how so many still watch this crap.... I guess if one has no life or other interests it gives them something to fill in the time...

Craig, men have "Oak Island" and women have "The Bachelor".

Craig, you shouldn't be posting videos that make fun of those rocks. Because, after all, those aren't just *any* rocks. Those are rocks that can only mean : Fabulous treasure. Eh ?

I have always told it like it is Tom... its like I tell people in the beach forum, better have your big boy pants on...

Another climactic episode....they found (gasp) old wood, horse shoe, rocks, and mud.....BUT there is a Templer connection.

Love seeing the actors hold back from cracking up when someone makes a statement.

Tonight on the hoax of oak island:

Templars, templars, templars, templars, and an Italian “expert“ on star alignment.

I watch sometimes for the local archeology content. I think the former slaves descendants have already laughed all the way to the bank many times.

I gave up on this show a few years ago. I had high hopes at the outset having read books about it long ago.

My youngest son and I have a running joke: "A _______? On Oak Island?" You can fill in the blank with any outlandish item you want.

The only thing I have to say with regard to the 'metal detecting' parts of the show is how often we all (especially those of us who hunt old townsites, homesteads etc.) will find a variety of random items, some identifiable, some not, but my point is probably a lot of these things have no 'material' attachment to anything or anyone in the area.

Obviously the items were dropped or thrown away or we would not have found them but they largely in part are not 'clues' to any 'mysteries' or 'questions' about the people or the area.

Same with Oak Island. How long have people been visiting it ? (like 200 + years) and that is long time for things to be dropped, lost, thrown away etc. but the bottom line is probably most of them are just unrelated items with no relationship to anyone or anything specific in the area.

I have say that in the last series, when they started excavating the cellar site, I was hoping for something interesting...A mason jar full of coins would have been great, but really any pre 1800 artifacts would have been nice. When they failed to find anything beyond a button, I pretty much gave up on the show...

I too gave up on it out of sheer boredom.

I keep an open mind about it (as I always have) but my optimism is beginning to wain.

Kinda like with Bigfoot. I used to believe in the possibility of it existing but now I am going to need to see a body, OR actually see one in the wild - and not just a fleeting shadow or some strange noise. I will need to see one captured, OR observe it going about its activities, with others and for some length of time.

With the advent of trail cams in the last 20 or so years and literally NO clear, obvious pics of a Bigfoot type creature taken, well, I rest my case....
