Last minute beach vacation ideas?

Notth Myrtle Beach, Cherry Grove beach (same general area) Virginia Beach Va, Ocean City Maryland, Outer Banks North Carolina (if you go there, research, stay off the National Seashore with your detector) good luck. I see the same thing with hotel prices. I figured they would be cheap trying to lure people in, but Ive concluded that everyone was tired of being cooped up for months and flocked to them so demand is high, therefore the prices are too!

I think that is why it's so expensive now.

The place we're going to (shell island resort in Wilmington NC) is completely booked. I went to extend our trip by a day (we were scheduled to leave on Friday) and they didn't have any availability at all for the room type we had, so we ended up upgrading our room.

Wow. Yeah I'm thinking demand is high. Safe travels ans enjoy your week at the beach! That is a treasure in itself! Please post your finds, daily if you can, I love to see what folks find at the beach. We have a trip planned to Panama City Florida in September, originally was going July 4th week but got postoned due to work related Covid-19 travel restrictions. Fingers crossed the numbers level off before September in Florida and they dont do anything drastic there as far as visitors go.
