Still alot of good people out there and on this forum. But there is always a bad egg wherever ya go . Thank the mods that they are keeping there numbers limited on this site. It is nice to come on here and see what others are thinking and doing about this Corona !!!!. Most seem to be playing it smart but some will criticize us and say we are all panicking. I would rather be smart than ignorant about it. Better SAFE than SORRY as grandpa always said :laughing: Speedy recovery!

Please don't quit the forum, yes there are disagreements occasionally, and I don't think the Mods mind people having a difference of opinion as long as it is not made personal and get unfriendly, then the Mods will step in and warn people, after all this is called the "Friendly" metal detecting forum :lol: and the Mods do a great job trying to make sure it stays that way.
 
This virus has finally made its way to my family. I have 3 cousins with it now. Hopefully they can beat this . Please be smart stop the spread.
 
Well we tried to close our public restrooms down but now forest visitors are deficating in front, behind the buildings and in the parking lots. I was told to telework due to being a “non essential fed. employee”. Now Im being called in to clean it all up. The end is nigh for me

So instead of dealing with human waste the normal way, they want to spread it out to spread more germs?
Closing the bathrooms is like banning needles for diabetes to stop the drug problem while government and their families can get as much as they want.

You would hope after seeing where visitors are doing their business they would realize it might be better to just leave the public restrooms open, but maybe add a sign saying "use at your own risk" hoping it might motivate the public to wash their hands really good before leaving.

Ya they wanted it closed to protect workers from having to clean the facilities. Now its worse but is it gov fault or the people who !!!! on the lawn.

It was good the gov was trying to protect the workers from having to clean the facilities, but since some of the public are behaving badly it still means a clean up is needed, I guess the question is does the gov think it would be safer to let you clean it up outside the building or reopen the facilities and go back to keeping the facilities clean ?

The sad part is that you get stuck cleaning up some of the public's bad behavior.
 
Ya who knows. The good news is I dont have kids nor does any of my family live in this state. If something should happen, my wife should get some money to help pay for student loans. I stepped up to do it since everyone else has a family, kids, and a house that I work with.

Not that you don't already, but please be careful and at least use rubber gloves and a mask. (which I'm sure you likely already do)
 
Went to clean and ended up on a 92 acre wildfire. It was a logistical nightmare with no more than 2 per vehicle and no more than 10 ppl in a group. We were short staffed as it was and we couldnt gather for a proper incident briefing. If this is a nightmare for a handfull of folks in Arkansas, im curious to see whats gonna happen to a type 1 incident in California or out west somewhere.

Well...out here in California , I can tell you what would happen on a 92 acre kiddie fire - it would be extinguished in 10 minutes. I'm curious how Arkansas would handle a 5,000 acre fire , which happens quite often out here.

Happens in Arkansas too. Not as often partly because of weather and terrain, but also because Arkansas does a great job of forest management. We love our loggers in the Ozarks and the money they bring in. We do have some tree huggers, we just don't pay much attention to them.
Our fire fighters know what they are doing, a lot of them help out with the California fires.

That's because you guys have all those fancy fire fighting planes and trucks. In Arkansas rather than spend all that money on a little kiddie fire they just have the guy that cleans the bathroom put it out. I don't know how long it took but it sounds like he made it home in time for dinner..

I know. I already shut up a while ago. Although i don't think otherwise. Not family friendly? Then all corona subjects should also be closed, as dying elderly and weak isn't family friendly either.
People here started to panic, forgetting that what IS/WAS needed. Exactly as people overhere did, and were i helped many remain concentrated on the facts. Why i posted some 'funny' pics about panicing and redundant of that.

Mind that i with best intentions was only trying to inform you all in front for what was comming at you there. Harder then we here, and we got it hard.
By doing "what they can" they made me shut up .... also making me stop informing.
The forum (and us citizens) could have been prepared from one in the middle of it. You could have been informed very good.
The forum (and us citizens) lost with that to. Not only me.

My country, and my region were it started here, seems to have it under control, at least until this moment, for a long time already. Still exciting and this week will tell if we lose some control. I could have helped you with information.
It could have been a win-win situation. Now it ends in a lose-lose situation. :( Either not family friendly, but whatever, it was not my choice, not my responsabiltiy.

Oh shoot. My post might have come off wrong. Im more worried about us firefighters that travel the country fighting fires for the gov. I wasent trying to compare “fire sizes” haha. We are trying to come up with ways to have large fire camps without a spread of corona if it lasts that long. I have worked on the Aspen Fire, Rim Fire, Pine Fire to name a few. Im quite familiar how it works.
