Church of the Compadre...

Neswiper has a few good videos, but he has not lifted the coil to see if the target dropped out on him before he dug the trash. He was just using the thumbing technique. I have noticed that if you thumb the knob and the target disapears, it does not always mean it is trash. It sometimes means the taget is at max depth, so when you thumb the knob you are losing depth.
His comment at the end of the first video stated that he was digging more trash while panning from trash to machine. I am glad he noticed that. One of those pulltabs could have been a nice ring :)

sorry but i had to report this thread as being religious so the mods will be locking it soon

Jressman made very best compadre comparison w/ the 2 benz's
thats so true and profound they are now wallpaper here :D

such a sweet sweet functional machine to be the owner operator of

might just be a religious experience too , sure seems like it ...

So if I go join the ACE ACADEMY, when I get my Sand Shark can I join the Church of the Compadre? Is it for only Compadre owners, and if so do I then need to start a Sand Shark Circle?
NO. I just had the first mixed marriage yesterday.

Not to be too nit picky but the comparo was two BMWs.

Don't want to give any fans of the iconic BMW 2002 a heart attack.

its cool , i cant see very well anyway and thought they were benz

i like all old cars and trucks , not so much newer models mainly due to the inbred planned obsolescence and well timed breakages

glad we dont get any of that action in md equipment

Hmmm, only a hunt's worth of clad away from the purchase price...Learned on a detector with no screen, should be pretty easy to figure one of these out, hmmm...

I'm going to need a little "spiritual" lift if my Compadre does not show up today.

just like back when you was a kid waiting on Christmas

time slowed down and days became weeks and hours seemed like days

its quite brutal and we all so hope you soon find relief from this malady

About 20 years ago, I was treated far beyond belief by Garrett Metal Detectors by a guy named Dorian Cook (anyone remember him?). I remembered Mr. Garrett's tireless support of the 1st International Treasure Hunt that I participated in, and his faith. I will NEVER be without a Garrett-or a Compadre.

I like a different yellow, and also the color silver.
Got a neat old watch for the collection plate, yesterday.

Been out 4 times with the Compadre.
Found my first Indian head, my first silver chains, and now my first silver 100 year old silver-cased pocket watch.
Not only is it good, it's lucky!

Gotta believe, brothers and sisters!

New to the church and to the forum.

One day I decided I needed a metal detector and then became obsessed researching what would be best for me. I searched many sites (this one included) many suppliers and made a comparison chart.

I also spent time on you-tube watching the various testing/comparison videos.
After hearing all the tones beeping, the numbers, the graphs, AHHHG!

The Compadre it was.

My first finds. I was amazed I could pinpoint the BB’s so well.
