I do miss the digger shots GraveDigger Max use to post, This was 2011 OC MD and I'm not sure if its one of Chucks or KaptianKosmo (Steves).. For those that don't remember or never seen. Max would always ask a couple young ladies at the beach to do a pose with his scoop.

I remember those!

Chuck , just some thought's , If 316 SS is out there, which it is , I would buy a scoop in that grade SS, all your Chuck made scoops including my old- Xtreme are in 306 SS , #2 All Xtreme are 8 wide only scoops , I like my 920ix , but also know friends- looking for a wider scoop more than 8 wide , #3 Deck height , tall enough so the goods don't flow over the top of the scoop digging, as I always wanted just a bit more , # 4 Titanium is to costly , even though Xtreme makes it , the cost is way to high , in my opinion - why even bother with that . #5 Xtreme comes with a 10 year warranty , I don't know how your going to go on this one , maybe if it breaks , replace , repair , shipping cost's are higher now , I found that out on a few things I bought from WEST coast to East coast . :goodluck:

Why bother? Weight my friend, weight. Titanium + carbon handle= :clapping::wow2::thumbsup:

It doesn't have to be $630/$645 for a scoop/handle combo like Xtreme.

$245 for a perfectly good CKG scoop, pick out your carbon handle for another $80, so $325 for the whole setup.

I will check them out , I need a new poop scooper. Kob should chime in , wondering if it can hold up , Storm is pumping out some massive stools now day's , talk Craig into testing one in CT. , to see how long it lasts. PS If you been reading my posts , IF I NEED ANOTHER SCOOP - it will be 316 SS , not 306 IN - PAPER THIN SS , this is a Scoop respected expert's thread , tell him , I am sure he would break down the quality of CKG , just for you , than again , he might not waste his time , I wonder why :?::roll::lol: PS Also - I am not a fan on Xtreme Titanium , or any titanium scoop , a couple of pounds makes no difference to me , as more weight helps you take a bigger bite out of the sand, recover quicker , more treasure in less time , I dig with my right arm , 4 inch tear in my right bicep , A lighter scoop is a ferry tail to me , a joke, I would even like scoops to be made in 12 gauge 316 SS , some people like a quality built like a tank other than 14 gauge , wonder what gauge that CKG is , some were I saw 1.5 mm  , happy hunting !

KOB has already given me his review of his CKG from WAY BACK WHEN??!! He had one a long time ago that had crappy welds and he had no trouble tearing it up. But times have changed at CKG Earl....good scoops now days.
Post it on the classified , Storms poop scoopers are on there last leg , I got a 20 spot for it , if you pay shipping :waytogo: Ps TBB--- (
245 for a perfectly good CKG scoop, pick out your carbon handle for another $80, so $325 for the whole setup. ) FOR 385 YOU CAN get a quality XTREME with CF handle , 60 bucks more :chaplin: Price of material has changed , harder to find quality , in COVID times Xtreme shut down, an issue came up on material supply , anyway looking forward to seeing , what Chuck brings to the table . TBB - Save up your money , whatever Chuck brings , you can bet, it will be QUALITY :realitycheck:

Cfm-ct , that picture must be a Chinese knock of , I own A 920ix , & Xtreme Surf Master 3 in 306 SS , here are the picks just- taken , not from a internet knock off , also whoever still has a Chuck made version of the 720i back plate please feel free to post , these pictures are the real deal & on Xtreme 1st gen . 306 SS-when Xtreme 1st started his business , when the manufacturer scoop war differences started , ALL grievances should have been in the court system- if one had beef- with another , not the customer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do you even post on a beach hunting thread? You never hunt.... wtf.... That picture I posted was a link from Sunspot... you can't handle the truth that is your problem not ours. I thought you were finished with this thread?

This is not an airport. No need to announce your departure. I find it odd for such an expert on scoops , you seldom put the time in to actually use them. And on top of that you want to hammer on a man and tell him how to make scoops when he actually ran a quality business in making them. No different than you telling ML about making a PI to your specs. It's completely laughable.

Only 2 options remain. #1: You post a video of yourself on a couch in a lab coat why you have decided to check out. #2: You repent your sins and apologize to all who have tried to help you and you start posting some finds and more importantly evidence that you've been hunting in the form of a couple destroyed scoops. I wish you well...

I for one dying of heart failure and the potential for cancer to creep in and help in the cause of death makes me wish I could retire and detect everyday all day and enjoy time with my daughter and soon to arrive grandchild. Alas i didn't care about saving when younger thinking I'd live forever but now hope i just get a few more years hoping for a miracle to not have to work till i die like my father did . Kudos to those who want to keep working but i must say make time for things that matter cause life and the universe have a sick sense of humor i've come to learn

I decided to post one more time before I go on vacation , mainly a tribute to Chuck & his great scoop work , The Sugar Sand Scoop was my Idea , Chucks Design , what we put together was a highly desirable scoop , especially by the Southern beach water hunter's , after he stopped making them , I was asked by many , if I would sell them , I said NO , sentimental value , along with a superior to other stud diamond earing catcher , it can't be beat unless Chuck reincarnates them , in no way did I ever turn on him , excepting a free XTREME scoop , it just went SOUTH , if he does make a comeback , only wish him the best , I will see you guys in May , as for the last 3 year's , I have failed to get things done , that I should have been done , so I can move on with life , do , or die for me , happy hunting . Sun Spot Sugar Sand --- PS I need to get a drill press to drill holes in the bolt on foot pads , which is done on my Classic , I found another use for that foot pad in the wash lane , that people would love , as turn your back to the waves , when the waves go back out , automatic sand drain , works great , Also these are 90 degree scoops , but with custom handles , Felix needs one for his yard sale classic find , a carbon fiber insert with a 20 degree at the bend , I reinforced those custom handles with fiberglass wrap & epoxy , Chucks saying Strong AS A Bull :dingding: Cya all in the summer , Earl

Idk about all the "WE" part as in you and Chuck coming up with a scoop design , he may say something different. And really , idc. But we all give each other some gruff because we care. We want you to somehow get motivated to get out and enjoy life , especially MD'ING ! It can only start with your own desire 1st though. Get healthy and GL.

If you drill stainless, purchase a drill doctor. Otherwise you'll go broke buying drill bits. Also be careful. I drill free hand. Was drilling some modified steel bed rails which were some hardened steel. Bit broke and went in my hand. I'm not sure there is anything on earth that hurts worse? Had a guy at work put one through his neck and he called his momma about 15 times. His momma wasn't there so he had to settle for a guy with a beard.

Good ol’ Max! GAVE ME my first scoop; a T-Rex. I put a fiberglass handle in it and used it about five years before some of the bucket welds started to fail. I had the welds repaired and paid it forward to a young boy who used to post on this forum a couple years ago. I miss Max’s posts. Good guy. I don’t forget!

I use Chuck’s Stealth 920. Given the change in ownership, I’d recommend a Stavr to anyone looking today. Good guy. Good price. Good quality.

There is a lot I could say, BUT, I am back with what I think is THE game changer of them all.

Earl: I could list about 12 exact copies of my ideas and the details of my Stealth scoops. I am not delusional. I don't kid myself like some people I know.

Chuck

PS My proto-types are done and will be testing them in Brasil starting next week. I expect the reveal to be this July or August.
Chuck let me know I will buy one for sure thanks.
