Didn't hate my Job , it was easy the last 15 years driving doubles , it was the management, I worked for , I was a target because I was known for not taking there BS , they got brownie points including disciplining hourly employees' including promotions. At 50 I could retire with NO penalties , jumped on it , 2 years later they changed that to 55 , it wasn't the Job , In 2008 they fired me for BS , after that 6 month vacation out of a spur of moment , a 3rd panel hearing was scheduled at 11pm the night prior , Earl you have to be in Charleston SC by 9am tomorrow morning , it was 11pm the night before , drove from Baltimore to Charleston SC there by 9am , hearing not until 2 pm , the panel 5 company , 5 union judges , after it was all said & done all 10 ruled in my favor catching them in 3 lies , my manager had to pay me 6 months back pay & medical / pension within 10 days , after that they never bothered me , but before retirement they always rattle every bodies chain, not just me , 2 years later I retired full pension , my choice , happy hunting !

I have been using my Stealth 720i in the rocks and I have have no issues with it... although I did pay a welder to double up the pointed lip, cost me $30 while I waited...

Hey... I bought it, I brought it to a local welder... I don't care about a warranty... I wanted it beefed up and my welder did a fantasic job for $30 it would have cost that much to ship it and wait... I waited while my welder did his thing and went right out hunting... which obviously is a alien concept to you...

Don't worry about it Kob , I went 33 years , without a woman to by me groceries , worst than the post office , you wouldn't have known . PS Most get fired there , management likes to fire people , I was union , got my job back , retired , tell your girlto work a double shift , to get you a nugget detector , get cracking

Your comment has me puzzled. Would you clarify please?

1 - What year did you buy the Scoop?
2 - Did you request a repair under warranty?
3 - If you did not request a repair, why?
4 - Do you happen to have a picture of the damaged scoop?

As the designer and manufacturer of the Stealth, I never had one fail like you say. It is possible the person who welded the unit did a poor job (and possibly by the current owner in California). By the way, Peter the current owner continued with the lifetime warranty and as far as I know, he followed through.

I worked hard to design and build the very best scoop possible and thought I had built a bullet proof reputation.

Since I am going back into the scoop manufacturing business, I had hoped my reputation would follow me

I still have one of what I believe were your originals; bought it at Pro Stock Detectors in Plainwell (Al Holden). A real sturdy scoop used well in the rivers and lakes..

Exactly and it was bush league for the maker to even take Chucks model names... guy did it because he knew Chuck had a quality product that is why I won't support him... its amazing Chuck even helped this guy out when he picked Chucks brain at scoop making... then he goes and copies Chucks scoops and the name of each model....

Stavr said , he can chime in , Chuck copied some of his line , XTREME does have similarities to Chuck's line , however owning one , FREE OR NOT - little differences to were , it's exactly NOT the same , is - my conclusion , yes they all used other scoop maker designs to improve there products , bottom line , but instead of bit----- about it , they could all use everybody's ideas -to IMPROVE there scoops , instead of bailing out , the strong survive , Chuck bailed , whatever his reason , Supply & Demand STAYS , that's XTREME & Stavr , the customers choice , USA , or Ukraine , 302 ss , or 316ss , hole , or welded bolt & nut handle lock down , more for shipping , longer wait time , or quicker - there choice , Chuck Bailed , some still need to ( GET OVER THIS) , my honest opinion , NO he is not coming back, my bet- , in his 80s , but if he does , Ill buy a scoop( if needed) , right now- I don't need one . Listen two things here , Chuck can come back , or Not , but Bit----- about a manufacturer to manufacturer issue / confrontation should be settled between them , personally , or in court ,- or compromise - this - on going dilemma- for year's is ridiculous , wish Chuck the best , what ever he does , if I were in my 80s right now , I would be living every day like it's my last , as most of my relatives lived till the mid to late 80s , not looking for a come back to the PAST .

You are really something else... all those years that Chuck did custom scoops for you and all it took was a free scoop to turn you... Chuck built quality scoops even gave advice to your new scoop guy... glad you and others are happy using them but I won't respect a person who couldn't come up with his own model name for a scoop instead taking Chucks model names... he did it because some unsuspecting buyers would assume they were getting Sunspot scoops...

The Classic is the OLD design of Chucks Felix , which is 90 degree , unless you like a 90 degree scoop , without the 20 degree bend in the three handles that I have , they are considered. OLD SCHOOL , or style scoops , put an ASH handle on it , with the 2 U bolt handle lock down , it's easy to change , happy hunting
