Calabash deleted his content

I watch pretty much every video on every machine or every subject that has anything to do with metal detecting LOL. I watch a sizable amount of tiki's Tok live detectors and currently go live fairly regularly myself. So I spend a considerable amount of time on social media more so during bad weather. When the weather is good I get in a lot of time detecting. otherwise I'm watching and learning or researching places to look for permissions etc. My point being I am pretty familiar with people who put out considerable content and Just Human Nature some I like more than others. I have watched several of his video's and just wasn't one of my favorites to watch. Some people I completely skip just not for me. His work was more of kinda like channel surfing if I seen all the reruns I might watch for awhile. Some of the videos I watched the entire thing some not. I will attend a seeded hunt soon where there will be several "celebrity" detectorists that I will get to meet in person. Most I enjoy their content a couple not as much. Part of the hobby isn't just digging change and rusty old stuff lol. Sometimes it's the people who you interact with along the way. Good Luck to this man as I can absolutely understand alot of what he had to say in his parting video.

The fact that he thinks people don't like him because he's successful is a joke. And the audacity of him to compare himself to Tom Brady is hilarious. Does he really think he's the GOAT of metal detecting? Give us a break, dude. You're not even in the top 50 of the best metal detectorists out there.
Oh no he didn't. Tom Brady ? That would be a classic. I gotta admit , some of his humor is similar to mine. Far fetched and off his rocker. Lol

Kinda sounds like AOC LOL

Correction: There is no other machine on the market that can cost you targets with all of it's settings NOT correctly applied. [The D2]
So improper settings on other machines is fine... got ya.... BTW I agree most D2 uswe4r will never unlock itas true potential... will probably end up with some super get em program... which is fine but in no way makes use of the tools featured on this machine

Exactly!! Most of these youtube "stars" (and I use that term in the most loose possible manner) are more interested in their "likes, shares and views" than the detecting. So many staged finds and "experts" on a detector as soon as it comes out, which is BS, it takes over 100 hours of using a machine to be proficient with it, let alone some kind of "expert". I dont even watch detecting videos except very occasionally. It amazes me how some of these people are touted at group hunts and things like its some big thrill to meet someone thats doing what anyone with a camera if any type can do.
It appears he was jilted by XP and took his ball and went home. Because hes now doing photography videos, so the "time consumption" seems to not hold water. As soon as that D2 came out he became a fanboy and started trashing the Equinox. Then they chose ol' Merril for their guy. Guess they wanted someone likable, instead of a polarizing Ahole lol. I watched him destroy a button his buddy dug onetime on a video, cant believe he left that in, I was grimmacing as he roughly scrubbed on it then the face broke on it. But to your point, most of the best guys detecting AREN'T making youtube videos.

Got a question for ya BH....If Merril & Calabash had a lovechild , would it turn out to be TNSS ?

Most of these YouTuber critics ( and I use the term as loosely as possible) - don’t know what they are talking about. Why? Because I have never told or said in any video I have done to like or subscribe. I have said folks they could leave a comment in some videos if they have any questions, and I would try to answer or even do a video to help answer their question(s). Yeah. I have never claimed to be expert with any detector. I also have had well over 100 hours on a model at the time it was released to public. So I could talk about it and share data. Because I had used while testing for manufacturer. I couldn’t care less about the views, subscribers, likes on my channel. My channel is for info for the public so they choose to watch. I also share other things, some hunting related. Use of Rimfire rifles, etc. and even some video from hunts I do. I have collected $0.00 from YouTube as it relates to my channel. Yep that’s my thoughts, and my story and I’m sticking to it.

I definitely wasn't calling you a "youtube star" so theres your 1st mistake. And I sure do know what I'm talking about. Lots of staged bs in most of their videos (the ones that qualify as a youtube "star") which again, term used loosely. A pretty face and 30 minutes on a beach in a bikini digging pulltabs and bobbie pins and it has 26000 views and tons of comments. So dumb. Meanwhile some regular Joe finds something amazing and it barely gets any views. I dont watch many detecting youtube videos at all these days but the ones I do watch are legitimate, real folks who just genuinely enjoy detecting and aren't trying to get their 15 minutes of fame.

Early days of youtube was fun. I made a couple hundred vids back in the day without monetization. A couple vids have about a million views. These days people are trying to use it for a side hustle. If they post titles like " Cops called" or "Angry Karen showed up" etc. I don't even click on them. I'm holding out hope they ban TikTok.

Monetizing YouTube big mistake imo.
I had rather seen a fee required by YouTuber to use instead.
You know where I am coming from.
Notice.
My channel very unusual. Why? I’ve got more videos than subscribers. Hmmm
Go look around. “Hint” Wet or dry. These YouTubers have a handful of videos posted yet many have zillions of subscribers/views. Go figure.
