It's my first decent hunt of the year, and what a hunt it was!
My son was in his Jiujitsu class, so I went out to find a good place to hunt. There is a storied section of land that I targeted this morning. I had found a V nickel on another part of the property a few months ago, and decided I'd hunt a section that is a little harder to get to. I'm glad I did!
My first find was an old boat plane toy. No plastic on this baby, so I know it's old! Does anyone know what kind of toy it is?
I found a few more bits of stuff, and determined that I would go back after I picked up my son. I had a quick lunch, called my hunting buddy over, and we hit the property, again. We started at a closer section than I hunted before lunch, and I'm glad we did! I found a 1901 V nickel right away! Shortly after that I found the spike you see in the pic (it tapers more than a railroad spike normally would, so I'm curious to know it's original purpose), and my last find in the quick hunt (we were there for only about an hour) was a beautiful 1907 S Barber dime!
Woohoo, what a day!
