A mile and a half

Did some more scouting this evening. I walked the length of the field and back. About 3/4 of a mile one way. I’m looking for old home sites and a school house. The only thing I found other than modern bullets was a Kg3. It was a random drop in the middle of no where.

This ^ ^ is highly unusual. Because in Maryland, you should not have to walk more than a stone's throw distance , one-way, to find a colonial copper.

Very cool find my friend. Looks like it still has a lot od detail as well. Now is that one of those coins where you just clean with soap and water and be happy with it, or try to de-crud it and possibly lose most if not all the details. I would say you need to go do another mile and a half and find some more. You can at that time test Tom's theory of throwing a "treasure rock" and see if there is a LC under where it landed.

That’s what I did wrong. I should have thrown a stone.

That is an excellent random find. I would be in that field for awhile after finding a KGIII

Nice random find! I seem to find a lot of KG 2's but very seldom a KG3.
