Cheers,
I am new to the ranks of metal detecting as of today and I am hooked! I purchased two metal detectors online the other day, one for myself (a Quicksilver QSI by Bounty Hunter) and one for my younger sister of seven. Hers arrived first, a Ground EFX MC1 youth detector and in my impatience I wanted to get out there so I brought it out on the virgin run. I was able to locate, within a couple of hours a large sign that took approximately fifteen minutes to dig out and turned out to be an antique Velvet Tobacco sign. Upon research, I found that the same sign has sold for between $200-500 on eBay! I think I might hang on to this for awhile though. It is my first real find after all, and all with a child's metal detector! I guess I can give it the official seal of approval!
