$40K Diamond Ring Lost On Beach

I'll bet any money that as soon they lost it, someone picked it up walked away with it.

That ring is probably not on that beach.

Test,

About that vibrator... Did it by chance have a butterfly on it with the inscription "To Maude, till death do us part" ?

If the wife got her massage on the beach and you searched the area thoroughly, maybe try swinging a detector over the pockets of the masseuse.

Probably wouldn't be very difficult to slip a ring off while massaging one's hand, especially if oil was used.

Try dropping a ring in beach sand. Chances are it will disappear from sight as soon as it hits the sand. I think it is far more likely the ring was not lost exactly where this guy thought he lost it than it is that someone saw it lying there and grabbed it shortly after being lost.

Well, a long time has past on this and I'm going to give it another go around very soon! My client is coming back into town for the holiday's and we are going to retrace the steps and try after all these months to recover it!

I will keep you all posted towards the end of December.

This is great, I really hope you find it.

The masseuse could've pocketed it, like cmbtvet said. Somebody else could've grabbed it from the sand. I guess your best bet is to search that entire beach. It's either not there at all or it's not where the guy says it was.

Sorry, I have given up this lost cause. I searched high and low every square inch of the area that the guy said it was lost, out 50 feet wider in every direction. Nothing detected. Either it was picked up by someone else, or it was lost outside that area or it is sitting in such a way in the sand that the coil cannot pick it up, either way, no other signal was found. I gridded that entire area 2 times where the 2nd pass turned up almost zero signals. If I ever happen to be in that area again, I guess it would not hurt to pan it over again, but I have to say, I won't be making a special trip out there again.
