Any experienced souls in Northern Virginia willing to take newbie out and show him the ropes?
Truthfully, I'm not so much interested in gold and treasure as I am in touching history. There is a certain beauty in standing in the same spot somebody else stood 200 years earlier. Its remarkable that just inches beneath the soil, history lives. Whether it be a colonial era button, or a worthless scrap of iron, there is value in holding history in my hands. That's what I am looking for.
